  • Ichaival: A bridge item. Useful for boxing, makes you stronger while the enemy ADC gets weaker. Sell this late game for Odysseus' Bow

  • The Executioner: One of your sources of penetration, makes your damage against tanks higher

  • Qin's Sais: Extra damage, percentage based. Allows you to deal a lot of damage to tanks. Requires high attack speed and penetration. Does not go well with crit. Keep that in mind if you plan on modifying the build.

Introduction - Who is Anhur?

Credit goes to Getsukeii on Deviantart. Check him out by clicking on the image!
Anhur is an ability based god who is known for having a strong early game. Due to the nature of his abilities, there's plenty of room for combos. Anhur has a strong presence in a team fight and can flexibly work with others.

After doing some research, for this guide I decided to go with a Qin's Sais based build with high penetration to maximise the potential of his abilities. This build has all types of penetration which will cause a diminished decrease due to the way penetration functions. In return however your damage will be fairly high, and all that penetration in addition to the attack speed highly benefits Qin's Sais.

Abilities

Passive: Enfeeble

Anhur's spear attacks reduce the enemy target's Physical Protection for 3 seconds.

Notes

Shifting Sands

Anhur erects an obelisk from the ground, blocking all player movement. The surrounding sands Slow enemies and increase the damage of Anhur's Basic Attacks against targets in the sands.

Notes

Impale

Anhur hurls his spear with great might. If the spear hits a god, they take damage and are knocked back. Gods knocked back into a wall are Stunned. Enemies hit by the pushed god take damage. The spear passes through minions, doing damage to them as well.

Notes

Disperse

Anhur leaps to his ground target location, doing damage and knocking back all enemies in the radius where he lands.

Notes

Desert Fury

Summoning the fury of the desert, Anhur hunkers down and throws empowered spears that pass through everything, doing damage to all enemies in their path. He is immune to Crowd Control for the duration.

Playing as an ADC

Start to Early

As the ADC, you'll start in the duo lane. The lane is either left or right. You can tell by looking at the distance between the towers. The one with the longer distance is the duo lane. You'll start in-lane and clear minions with the support. Sometime after you clear the wave, you may want to get the purple void buff for your support. Keep laning and ward in the jungle to prevent ganks.

Mid to Late

The support will leave you around mid game to go help and rotate to other lanes. That means you'll be on your own, boxing with the enemy ADC. Keep warding. You can occasionally rotate to mid to push the mid laner's tower. Be wary of ganks, as they will set you behind and allow the enemy ADC to take down your tower.

As you know, one of the ADC's main job is to push towers. That's exactly what you'll be doing. By late game you won't need to stick to your lane. Rotate and push towers with your team. Try to stick together. If a phoenix is down ward the lane in front of it and defend it. You don't want anyone backdooring your titan.

Conclusion and Ending

In my opinion, Anhur is one of the hardest gods to be good at due to the nature of his abilities. If you take a look at Anhur's history of use in the SPL, it was extremely rare for anyone to do well with him. The main combos you'll use are the first and second, the others are mostly situational and hard to pull off. The build is adjustable and can be modified for your liking.

Isn't there various building paths that he could go? runeforged + asi, ichaival + asi, old devourers build, devourers + asi, trans + asi etc...

For "Full build" why not remove hunters blessing for titan's bane? Then for "Final Build" just show ichaival being replaced?

Also for your start I recommend 2 health pots and 2 multi pots instead.

Well, the purpose of the full build is to display the build before anything is sold. The final build is to show the build after everything has been sold and replaced.

Agreed, will change this now.

Thanks for the feedback!

If you want Crusher, get bloodforge instead of titan’s. If you want titan’s swap ichaival for Odysseus’ bow.

Thanks, will most likely go with the latter

Feedback is heavily needed and appreciated, mostly on the build. Everything else is WIP. I plan on adding combos, gameplay stages, and other info. It's just mostly the build I'm concerned about.

Build looks okay, though I don't know if The Crusher is the best late-game sub for Ichaival. Also, Titan's Bane is a good option, but maybe not always picked up. He will appreciate that funky Exe + TB combo more than most hunters though.

Odysseus' Bow should probably be an option (might work well instead of The Crusher as an Ichaival replacement. And against squishier comps, instead of Titan's Bane, Brawler's Beat Stick might work too.

I forgot about the replacements and brawlers. Thanks btw
