Hi!

This is my first attempt at creating a guide so bear with me! as of right now I am creating a simple arena build for Athena. Eventually, I would like to branch out and make other builds for her as well as create builds for other Gods. But for now, this is what I have.

If you have any tips on how I can improve this build,please comment! I know this community can give great advice!

The reason I decided to make a build for Athena is that I love playing her and there seems to be a limit of decent builds for her. I love to play her as a bruiser, rather than a tank so please keep that in mind. I thought I'd give it a try and create a build and share it with the community!

Needs improving. Not a great build for Athena in arena at all (though it's just items listed with no build...)

Instead (Bruiser): Shoes of the Magi, Breastplate of Valor, Void Stone, Soul Reaver/ Ethereal Staff, Mantle of Discord, Winged Blade.

Starter would be tier 2 boots.

Stone of Binding is a pretty good early game option as well.

And get rid of meditation. Swap it out for Horrific Emblem or something useful.

You forgot Stone of Binding, which is a better option than Dynasty Plate Helm. You get 20 less power, and 5 less physical protections, but if you CC someone, then you give 20 magical and physical penetration to allies within 70 units of you for 5 seconds.

Also I would get Stone of Binding straight after boots.

Edit: You don't necessarily need to sell Stone of Binding lategame, but it is an option if you're getting bursted, and you need the slow immunity from Winged Blade (for example).

In arena, I consider one item almost core, and that's Midgardian Mail. Since she'll automatically get it to work when she taunts, it provides additional control through the slow.

Stone of Fal is awful. Dynasty Plate Helm needs to be early IF you ever get it...not "lastly." It's an early bridge item.

I see Dynasty as more of a mage item than a guardian one personally.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
