Introduction :D

Hello I'm LunarFrost and I've played Awilix ever since she came out and enjoyed every moment I've played her in both Casual and Ranked.
I'm one of the few people who have gotten her diamond.
I personally find her extremely easy to play but others......they're not that lucky.

Why did I make this guide? I want more people to play her / get better. And this guide will help do that.
Now I have stuff to do most of the time so I'll be posting stuff, cleaning this guide bit by bit, day over day.

And If you doubt that I don't know what I'm talking about, Go to 4:32 of this video and watch it.....now that your done, lets get started.

Build Explanation

I have 2 builds for Awilix, One for players who want to start playing her and one I personally figured out that only Advance players can use the build. (I prefer the Beg. build.)
(My friends tried it and they did horribly unlike the Beginning build.)

The Beginning build is more flexible unlike the Adv. build which is set in stone (for the most part).

The Adv build can easily 1v1 and some cases 1v2 anyone but if a Support is in that 1v2 just disengage.
The Beginning build is built for team synergy with knock-ups and a lot of power.
(Note: The Beginning build WILL lose in a 1v1 with another Awilix who built the Adv. build.)

Pros / Cons

Pros/Cons

Very Strong Early Game Ganks / Mana Hungry Early Game.
Can work well with/without a team. / Need Communication for Perfect ults.
Highly Mobile. / Cripples Destroy Her.
FeatherStep invincibility Frames./ Her Summon Suku can easily be canceled.
Great Invader./ Hard to Learn, Hard to Master

Who can Awilix pull?

Who can Awilix pull with her ult, Gravity Surge. This part is going to be of gods you can pull while they are using a certian ability or abilities.
EASY 1-4
MEDUIM 5-6
HARD 7-10
Anhur's Disperse Is a slow jump and so he can get pulled. EASY 2
Awilix's Feather Step Is considered a jump so you can pull her. Hard to predict. HARD 10
Bacchus's Belly Flop Is another Jump. EASY 4
Bakasura's Takedown Is semi-quick jump, but do you really want to pull him to you? MEDUIM 5
Bastet's Pounce This jump counts has 1-2 chances to get her, her jump is fast or slow depending on the distance. Farther = Slower. EASY 1
Fenrir has 2 abilities that you can pull him from.
Unchained, Another slow-ish jump. EASY 3
Brutalize, Every hit from this abilites counts as a jump, but the opening is small. HARD 8
Hades's Death From Below counts as a jump and its slow but confusing for new players. MEDUIM 5
Hou Yi's Dive Bomb can be easily pulled. EASY 1
Hun Batz's Somersault Is another jump that speeds up throught out the jump animation. EASY 3
Kali's Nimble Strike is a very fast jump. EASY 4
Neith's Backflip When she is using this ability near you, she just wants to be pulled. EASY 1
Odin's Lunge Is a slow jump, usually backed by a shield, so pull him away from your team so he can't use Ring of Spears on them. EASY 2
Scylla's Sentinel counts as a jump, buts its very fast and goes underground just like Hades. HARD 9
Serqet's Ambush is another fast jump and you will need fast reflexes to pull her.And she is usually to far away because she used Deathbane.
MEDUIM 6
Ullr's Glory Bound Is a fast jump that I've personally have had difficulty pulling.
MEDUIM 6

Who can synerqize well with Awilix?

This section is mostly going to be about gods who :Have knock-ups, How many Knock-ups, and how easy are the knock-ups to hit, and a note: Awilix will not be on this list.
Knock-ups are the strongest CC in the game, the more, the better
REMEMBER, COMMUNICATION IS KEY!
BAD 1-4
RELIABLE 5-6
PURE SYNERGY 7-10
Anhur's Disperse, if it hits an enemy it can knock them up into the air, but that's his only escape. So don't rely on him to do it. BAD 2
Bacchus's Belly Flop is one of the best knock-ups in the game, Imo. It deals a good amount of damage, it knocks-up and it slows. He also has a stun that can allow you or another teammate to knock someone up. PURE SYNERGY 8
Chaac. I bet you didn't see this guy coming, he does have a knock-up hidden in his ult, Storm Call if he manages to ult his axe; Thunder Strike, it will knock all the opponents hit by it up. Again its a combo in his kit that's not the easiest to land but when he does it will hurt. This will most likely work in team fights.
RELIABLE 5
Geb has 2 knock-ups; Roll Out (At max spped) and Shockwave. The only problem is that the Roll out needs to charge and Shockwave's knock up only knocks up for like half a second. RELIABLE 6
He Bo's Waterspout is a strong, hard hitting knock-up. The only problem is that it can knock-up someone out of your Ult's range causing you to lose the pull. RELIABLE 5
Hercules's Earthbreaker knock someone to Herc, but don't pull yet, let Herc stun the person with Driving Strike, then use your knock up and ult for a massive amount of damage. PURE SYNERGY 7
Kulkukan's ult; Spirit of the Nine Winds can knock up a group of people if it hits, but ...I wouldn't rely on him. BAD 3
Poseidon has 2 knock-ups, I bet you didn't know that. His Tidal Surge and Release The Kraken! can both knock a person up, His ult is reliable but his 1...not so much. Otherwise.....he's PURE SYNERGY 9
Sobek He works best with Awilix compared to the other gods on this list. His Charge Prey with an Awilix ult can pull someone a very far distance. And his Tail Whip leaves them up in the air for a bit, long enough for you to be able to pull them.
PURE SYNERGY 10
Sun Wukong's 72 Transformations Bull form can knock up enemy players for a long time, allowing you to get a nasty pull of. RELIABLE 5
Sylvanus's ult; Wrath of Terra Is a great thing to have when you have an Awilix, but its an ult, and you will most likely not pull the target you want, but otherwise.
PURE SYNERGY 7
Tyr and his Assault Stance Fearless can knock a small group up and you get to pull them, yay for being annoying, this will most likely work if the Tyr knows what he is doing. RELIABLE 6
Vamana suffers from the same thing as Anhur, except he can be a bit more aggresive.
BAD 4
Vulcan suffers from the same thing as He Bo, but he doesn't have anyother CC after his Magma Bomb BAD 4

Who can counter Awilix.

Before I start this paragraph people must know this, DON'T INVADE AWILIX!
The reason I say this is because she has access to Feather Step, a move that does 110+ damage early game, in an AoE. That means you and your partner will take a good amount of damage, and don't get started if the partner is like Hercules or something ridiculous.
The only thing that can honestly match Feather Step Is Brutalize with all 5 runes but she can cripple you out of that.
I'm only going to put gods on here that are a massive threat to Awilix or her Combo's, so If you don't see a certain god on here that means you don't have to worry about them except for their ult (Which everyone should be worried about.)
Anyone slow and doesn't have a leap is easy pickings. Ex. Kukulkan, Ah Muzen Cab etc...

Arachne Just watch out for her Venomous Bite, Cocoon combo, if she locks you down you will take a lot of damage and might die, being your so squishy in so many areas.
Bellona's Scourge takes away your extended range and Feather Step for 2 to 3 seconds. Meaning you lose a lot of your juking ability. So Summon Suku is your only hope to escape. Greater Purification is optional against her.
Hel Can save her teammates from your Moonlight Charge + Gravity Surge Combo, and is really fast + healing which is always annoying.
Hun Batz, I'm putting down for good reason, Fear No Evil is going to seperate you from your team but 9/10 times, the Hun Batz WILL focus you, so get Greater Purification If he is on the enemy team.
Thor I hate Thor when I'm Awilix, I always get focused, and you will too. Greater Purification is a MUST
Tyr is one of the few who can keep up with you if he wants to for, a while, He has 2 dashes and a jump.
Ymir Is probaly your worst Nightmare being Awilix's Gravity Surge can be canceled with Hard CC and can't pull anyone that is past a wall. Thor's Tectonic Rift can't block Gravity Surge.

What I plan to add in the near future. (I've spent a while studying how to BB code and putting what i have now together.)

A chapter explaining skills and combos.
And when it comes around a Credit chapter

Also if you want to post your build with Awilix so I can play a couple of games with it and give my experience with it.

Ive been doing quite well with her lately with this build. I didnt know Transcendence was such a good item. Oh man ive been using only the well known items like the typical Hasten Fatalis and mainstream items. Exploring is a must.
But anyways. Do you find that Fist of Gods to be cool with her Feather Step. Extra damage and stun. But then again im new so i dont know the main mechanics and compositions. Hell Ive never won a single Siege match.

Awilix can easily win a game..if you land her combos. Other than that she becomes useless. Without her combos she is left with her basics and maybe her 2.

A good Awilix can do very well. She's a very mobile goddess who can chase and secure kills quite well. The biggest problem players can run into though is not having enough knock up opportunities for her Gravity Surge. The only knockback in her kit is with her Moonlight Charge, and while effective can take practice to do. Without being able to reliably land this combo, you lose out on some of her best plays. Awilix is at her best and most viable when one or two of your teammates also has knockback, and Lunarfrost put in a nice section regarding that.

Hey, so is Awilix a viable God all around? Im pretty new to this game so I dont know really. I read that you mentioned shes now a Top Tier character. But all the tier lists from this game have been very different. Im interested in this character.

I would agree that in tandem with another crit item that malice is bad. With that said it works if you are only going to build one crit item on a character like Awilix as it gives more power than rage for feather step. Along with awilix passive it can have a bigger effect. That and if your mixing in abilities with your basic attacks and your already not at a double crit than the bleed from malice is more valuable than the stronger crits from Death Bringer. I forgot to mention that I almost always have a Titans bane in my build usually 5th item. Earlier if the opposing lanes builds defense. But the bleed you get off a crit when your passive is active is absolutely brutal. The frostbound hammer is just as much for the health as it is for the slow plus the attack speed slow allows you a better match ups against the hunters lategame.

You should add a section for solo lane Awilix my usual build is trancendence warrior Tabi then either frost bound hammer winged blade or ancile then another one of those then either a soul eater or one of those three and I finish it off with a malice. I find this build is great as you can stay in the fight and skirmish people like a warrior while still having a lot of power. That and the utility from frostbound hammer for teamfights is excellent.

Transendence, Warrior Tabi, and winged blade make a lot of sense
Frostbound is good, but Awilix already has a way to lock enemies into plaace, I would pick it every now and then
Ancile, and Malice. Really don't make sense.
You don't have any Pen with the build, no pen means you lose out on a lot of damage on bigger targets.
Malice is pretty much the worst crit item, I would get rage with a set like that, I've also seen Golden Bow work, strange as it is.

(Frost Bound is great in solo)
(Soul Eater will be a great item next patch)

I have been playing awilix recently from the solo lane and it is damn near uncounterable as she has great wave clear poke and argueably the best boxing ability at all stages of the game as feather step is arguably one of the best non ult abilities in the game. I highly admire your spot in top 5 plays. You should add a section for solo lane Awilix my usual build is trancendence warrior Tabi then either frost bound hammer winged blade or ancile then another one of those then either a soul eater or one of those three and I finish it off with a malice. Beautiful guide, I like your way of telling it :P~, The build seems about right and I'm not as far mastered into awilix as you are but I always used to start with my 3 for minions, I never thought about 2 first, Thats a great idea and thank you for your amazing guide C:>

I'm currently working on chapters like that, my next one is Synergy with other gods knock-ups, but I'm also coaching for my clan, and that takes up a bit of time as well.
And thank you for that +1 :3

I'm surprised this guide hasn't gotten more attention, it's pretty good in all respects. Could add an abilities section and maybe more on how to improve your gameplay (eg: juking with Feather Step), but I'm impressed with your pull list and counter list.

Also nice getting into the top 5 plays :]

+1 from me.
