Introduction

Hello there and welcome to my Season 2 Guide for

Bastet The Goddess Of Cats

She is and Plays as a Physical Caster focused around the early and mid game but her late game is not bad at all.

She has a unique play style making her a great pick against non sustain mages or hunters in the solo lane due to her bleed often forcing them back.

She is also great in the jungle due to her early pressure with cat call.

Overall she is a powerful Assassin that can make unreal early pressure on most enemy gods especially gods without Escapes such as Artemis and Nox forcing sprint rank 2 very early into the game or risk death to cat call.

Updates:

  • 3/4/2015 (10:19pm) - added in the build section as per request from the comments i find the current build options a bit messy so i used a custom build instead Custom Item Build. Also Ill be Putting out some other guides within a week or 2 as i finish them up as you can see im trying to learn to use Anchros batter to make a fully Custom Table Of Contents...

Pros / Cons

Pros:

+ Great Early Pressure with cat call

+ Great Mobility and Escape potential in the form of Pounce

+ High Damage Bleed with her Razor Whip

+ Great Burst Mid Game

+ Amazing Backdoor Objective Shredding Potential

+ Long Range slow Declaw that also deals decent Damage

Cons:

- Squishy Target

- The Return jump from Pounce can be prevented with CC

- DeClaw can be hard to hit at max range

- Cat Call somewhat falls off Late Game in some cases helps the enemy

- Weak vs slows as they also can slow her cat call and she her self will be forced to Pounce which can then be followed one way or another...

Skills & Mechanics

Here I will Talk About the kit some Mechanics and give some tips:

This Page has optional(click on them) Mechanic advise and Tips if your looking for a short read only look at the Underlined text and the text in Red Color.

Open Wound Open Wound(~)
This is our Passive Ability after Dealing Damage with a Ability to a enemy god the Next Ability to effect that god deals15%More Damageto that god.

Personal Opinion and Thoughts

Pounce(1)
This our Escape and Chasing Spell it also Deals High Damageand lets us move 25% Faster while in the Pounce Back State Only.
Casting the spell makes us jump to the targeted AoE then we Enter the Pounce Back State for 4 sec Using the Spell during this time makes us jump back to our Starting Location.

Mechanic Advise and Tips

Razor Whip(2)
This is our Hardest Hitting Ability it is a Damage Over Time bleed that can scale up to 400+ damage early and can reach 800+ at our late game.
its range is a cone In front of us so be careful on your aim its harder to hit at point blank range on a target running circles then it may seem...

Mechanic Advise and Tips

DeClaw DeClaw(3)
DeClaw is a long range line skill shot that deals Damage and Slows targets by 30% it can hit more then 1 target if there close togather!

Mechanic Advise and Tips

Cat Call Cal Call(4)
This is out Ultimate we summon/call forth 3 cats that deal damage and slow enemy gods per hit they are attracted to Targets Effected By Razor Whip.

  • Physical Caster/Objective Scratcher Solo Lane

  • Jungle Build

Solo Lane Gameplay

Here i will explain the Basics of the Solo Lane for Bastet and some basic Conditions for when to pick Bastet for the Solo Lane:

  • you can pick Bastet as a counter to any Squishy Non Sustain mage.
  • you can pick Bastet as a counter to Solo Lane Hunters such as Rama.
  • you can pick Bastet to make the enemy team think she will jungle and thus they might pick gods or compositions to reflect that and effect bans ect... this is a team thing though so make sure to talk about it!
  • you do not pick Bastet into solo lane if there is a high chance that she will fight tanky gods such as Osiris and Hercules and dear god never pick her into heavy sustain solo lanes such as Ra Zhong Kui and Chaac even if your chances of getting killed are low you will be forced out of farm!

    The Start of the Match

Sorry for getting a tad long here folks im trying to make a batter presentation for this section but cant decide on a good one advise for this is welcome!

We Begin the match with our starter items mentioned above Charged Morningstar and some Healing Potion & Multi Potion.

we go on to help the jungler clear his Orange(Speed) buff and then we do Blue Buff for us as we will need the mana early on even with the pots we then head into the lane.

while in lane in addition to farming we want to focus on these 3 things:

    • Harassing the enemy god with our Razor Whip and declaw.

    • Warding the Enemy Orange/Speed Buff in Preparation of stealing it when it comes back up depriving the enemy jungle of speed buff will greatly cripple his ganks and rotations.

    • Rotating at any Possible Chance for mid camps and ganks on mid lane if you force back a re-call and they dont get Teleport to Towers you can rotate gank mid lane and help your team with mid camps.

Jungle Gameplay

Here i will explain the few start's you have a Bastet in the jungle but before all that i will count down some important notes:

  • Your Job Is To Help The Team Get Ahead Or Gain Advantages Either By Getting The Team Kills,Stealing Camps or Forcing out Enemy Ultimate's and Escaping.
  • You Shall Act As The Second Main Warder After The Support/Tank After Every Back Take 1/2 wards With Any Left Over Gold Or 1 Sentry Ward And Use It To Take Away Enemy Vision This Is a Vital Aspect Of Your Role!
  • Do Not Be Greedy,Do Not Be Selfish,Do Not Fight Bad Fights =(Translation)= Do Not Tower Dive While Not Prepared Or Backed Up By The Team, Do Not Chase Uncertain Kills,Dont Start Fights Your Team Is Not Cool With (They Might Not Follow Up or Worse They Might Miss ect...)

Normal Start

  • We get our starting item's aka Bumba's Mask, Hand of the Gods rank 2 and Healing Potion x1 for the jungle with the left over 50 gold i start with 1 Ward
  • First we now decide were we want to put our Ward either a defensive one near the entrance to our buffs or a aggressive one near the enemy buffs this depends if your planning on stealing the enemy blue or if your going for the standard start
the aggressive invade ish start

the Normal Start

The Invading Start

Option 1:Normal Invade

For this start you need to check your team compositions ideally you want to have higher lvl 1 Fighting Potential such as Thanatos Osiris Ymir Hercules or long slows such as Zhong Kui Osiris.

Or You can Have a easy to escape Jungler which can steal the buff take it and get out at present time the only gods that can really do this are Bastet Loki and maybe ao kaung in our case Bastet with some vision from our Ward we just jump over the wall and steal the buff then either jump out or commit for the kill more details bellow

Option 2:The Pick Off

for this you roam as a team and if you see or find a enemy god out of position or trying to ward you jump then and blow them up with 5 of you they will melt in mere moments.
Gods that are great for these kinds of compositions are the the ones with strong position displacement such as:
any combination of the above gods are great for these kinds of invades as they dont need to get a blink to close gaps between them and the target some ideal combinations can come from sobek support junlge/solo Hercules a Charge Prey + Driving Strike can often be first blood if a Eset follows up its usually GG for that god hunters with early game CC or slows such as Neith and her root or Cupidwith his slow are also decent with these invades.

Great guide overall. Looks good visually and has lots of good tips for Bastet. I like the builds too, make sense for an ability based assassin. Only thing I would recommend is buying Magi's Blessing rather than The Crusher. It gives you a lot more endgame survivability, and you really should be fine in terms of damage and ability to take out towers by then.

Still nice work, +1 from me.

He actually does have one, it's just in a section and not at the top.

Although regardless I would take that build you have and use the built in guide build feature.
