Greetings gods and goddesses! This is my first build and my job with this is to help you with the (in my personal opinion) most broken junglers and probably the easiest if this is your first time jungling. Ratatoskr the sly messenger is an assassin first and foremost meaning this guide is to give you guidance toward the mindset and rules toward being an assassin in conquest. Assassins such as Ratatoskr are generally taking on the roles of jungling, meaning that they do not take toward a general lane, instead they head towards the areas in between the three respective lanes, this area is known amongst players as the jungle, but we will get more into that in the jungling section of this in-depth summary of Ratatoskr.
Pros
[*] Great Jungler
[*] Extreme mobility
[*] God exclusive item
[*] high sustain
[*] Ultimate is Global, allowing for massive distance travel
[*] Versatile abilities
[*] Great snowballer
Cons
[*] Dash ends on first god hit
[*] Squishy
[*] CC will destroy you
[*] Dying too early will cause you to backward snowball
The Beginning items are crucial and Ratatoskr is already at an advantage here with Magic Acorn, this item is free and takes up Ratatoskr's slot for boots, but you start with this item for free! This allows you to spend your starting gold on Bumba's Mask and Bluestone Pendant. Bluestone Pendant is amazing on Ratatoskr ability-wise and it helps clear jungles significantly faster with a maximum of an added 60 physical power damage. Bumba's mask helps with adding a small amount of true damage on you basic attacks toward jungle minions, also helps you stay in the jungle for much longer with a bit of added sustain, Bumba's Mask gives you health and mana from killing jungle minions.
The ability-based core items help with giving you more cooldown as well as added health from successfully landed abilities with both Acorn Of Yggdrasil and Gladiator's shield and a little penetration, cooldown and mana from Jotunn's Wrath.
The basic-attack-based core items help with critical hit chance, something every basic attacker should make use of, and allowing you to keep up with your opponents thanks to Hastened Fatalis and Acorn of Yggdrasil
The damage items for abilities can be mix-matched with the damage items for the Basic attack build, for example, Hydra's Lament is extremely good because of the passive for both basic attack damage after abilities and MP5 from missing mana percentage. Another Useful item to be a good added defense is Shifter's Shield it's passive allows you to stay in the fight for the possibly game changing moment
The defense items are for only if you are falling behind in the level curve. DO NOT USE THESE UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
I feel like the Relics and consumables are fairly self-explanatory except for Rallying Ritual, rituals are newly introduced consumables that you can begin to buy at level 10 and cost 750 gold, Rallying Ritual is like a teleport except it is used on teammates instead of towers and is extremely helpful when you need to get to a teamfight quickly
Ratatoskr's skills are extremely versatile, and wombo-combo like no other, Dart is an extremely good chase-down ability, because it is a fast, long distance dash, and amongst that, it is a slow, just be cautious when using Dart to get away because it stops on the first god hit, so be careful! Flurry is amazing at many different things, first of all you spin in a circle, causing it to be hard for ranged units to attack you, second, it hits for tick damage and it gives the enemy a temporary protection debuff, at the end a maximum debuff of 16. Acorn blast is amazing doing a maximum of 300 (+90% of physical power) when all the acorns land, when you hit all three acorns it stuns allowing for an easy catch up utensil as well. Finally, Through The Cosmos is one of the best non-execution ultimate, and it is global, meaning it has a massive travel distance as well as a knock up and a large damage output and a generous hitbox
As mentioned earlier Ratatoskr is a jungler and one of the best ones in the game, he has great sustain, mobility and AOE attacks, everything a jungler needs. The Jungle is the area between the three lanes. The area in between the solo lane and the middle lane is the fire giant jungle, this is where you want to start your game, begin with getting the speed buff, or orange pott, then help your solo laner get the mana buff, or blue pott, then you want to head toward the fire giant area and take the jungle there as quickly as possible using the Hand of the Gods. Backdooring means waiting between the entrance to the lane from the jungle to the jungle, and awaiting for your opponent to get low on health and then secure the kill. Ganking means quickly getting to the lane from behind the opponent and at bare minimum causing them to back away and help your laner get away from the sticky situation.
Ratatoskr is a powerful jungler and should be paired up with powerful or CC heavy gods like Kumbhakarna, Ra, Tyr, Nike, Xing Tian, Apollo etc.
Ratatoskr is a powerful jungler with many assets to him and his kit, with time I hope you all become great Ratatoskr players and feel free to leave helpful comments. Sorry if this guide seems extensive but I wanted to help you all in the best way I could Peace out!

To be fair, you're better off with an ability based build with power + pen than a basic attack build. The scaling on each of
With the skill order, it's solid, though you're better off with levelling
Regarding items,
Aside from that, just the presentation needs some work maybe some tables, colours and so forth and it's a nice guide. Not bad at all.
Second, I feel personally Rat is a pretty decent tempo god, that can be effective at all stages of the game, providing he's at least at average level. As such, I'd say ability is better generally, since in the late game his flurry protection shred is extremely powerful when helping your ADC, and the stun, if you can consistently hit it, is also extremely powerful.
Third, I'm wondering why you feel the need to pick up HoG as the first active. Personally, I think current form HoG is utter trash on most Junglers and is just a crutch more than anything. It costs 500 to get the stun which was the only real reason to get it last season. I'd rather take a defensive item to start with, Aegis if they have a lot of burst but no CC, Beads if they have a lot of CC, or an Agressive active such as Sunder if they only have one or two CC/Burst gods that I feel that I could avoid for the most part. HOG might be good on some junglers that don't have a decent early clear, but Rat has amazing early clear, and just amazing clear, and for such a squishy god even with two escapes, I'd still recommend taking Aegis or Beads.
Fourth and Final, Why taking acorn first? Rat doesn't want to fight level 1, he generally wants to farm until he's able to get to at least level 2 ideally 3-4 before taking any real fights. Flurry allows you to clear camps quickly, generally what I've been doing in my games is, go with the mid-lane as seems to be the norm right now, take Flurry, wait for the wave to clear then go for lava minions. Flurry on those with like, two basics, usually hits me to level 2 before the enemy jungle, or if I'm facing a god that has better level 1 fight, such as Arachne or Thor, I might go from Mid to my own Speed, with Flurry being decent enough to clear camps at level 1 mostly by myself.
