Introduction

Time to get down to business. Sorry to keep ya waiting but this god is gonna be a blast to do. So without further ado; it's Chronos!

Pros & Cons

PROS
High Burst Damage
Very versatile
Fast both in AS and MS
CONS
CC is a bane to him
Relies on good aim to output damage
Is really vulnerable without ult.

Abilities

Passive: Wheel of Time

The wheel of time is always spinning and for Chronos, it is no different. Depending on where the wheel is when activating Accelerate, it provides a different benefit to Chronos.

Ability Type: Buff
Section I: Heal 1.5% Max Health Per Second
Section II: 100% Mana Refund On Abilities
Section III: +25% Magical Power
Section IV: +45% Magical Power Contribution to Basic Attacks

This passive only really comes into effect on his two: Accelerate But we'll get to that later on. For now just keep these numbers in mind

Ability 1: Time Rift

Chronos creates a rift in time, damaging all enemies in the area.

Ability Type: Ground Target
Damage: 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+85% of your Magical Power)
Radius: 10
Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70
Cooldown: 5s

This is so spammable it's unbelievable. 260 + 85% of magic power is quite a lot of damage for even a tank to take and with our build we'll be exploiting that.

Ability 2: Accelerate

Chronos accelerates himself over time, allowing him to move faster initially and gain speed over time. While active, his attack speed is increased. This ability also stops the Wheel of Time.

Ability Type: Buff
Movement Speed: 25% Initial + 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20% Over Time
Attack Speed: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35%
Lifetime: 7s
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80
Cooldown: 15s

Now this is what makes him versatile. Basically you gain a MS boost over time along with a flat AS which is why he's normally put in duo. Now the key thing for this is how it stops the wheel of time and grants him his bonus'. The main ones you'll be using are section 3 and 4 as they grant the most damage with 1 and 2 being used to heal or to clear lane on low mana.

Ability 3: Stop Time

Shooting forward spinning gears of time, any enemies hit by Chronos' attack are slowed to a stop and have their attack speed reduced by 20%, taking damage on the initial hit and again when they are stunned.

Ability Type: Line
Damage (applied twice): 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+40% of your Magical Power)
Attack Speed Slow: 20%
Stun: 1s
Cost: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85
Cooldown: 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14s

You use Stop Time mainly for set up for Time Rift and to land a few more AA's. It's damage is quite hefty considering it can be applied twice. Fun fact: This actually has a AS slow on it which I never knew before. Pretty useful for a Mage ADC

Ultimate: Rewind

Chronos travels through time to where he was 8 seconds ago, gaining health and mana back to the values of that time. All of his cooldowns are instantly reset as well.

Ability Type: Leap
Cost: 100
Cooldown: 120 / 110 / 100 / 90 / 80s

This ultimate is what makes Chronos a pain in the *** to box. You could be wittling him down and then boom, he rewinds with his cooldowns reset and his health and mana back to full. Really useful but I recommend to max it last as it only lowers the cooldown.

Items

You're going duo lane, cooldown shouldn't really be a concern early on. What matters is the early pen and power that it gives you. You can argue Shoes of Focus but it really isn't that strong compared to it's big brother.
Demonic Grip is a staple for these guys such as: Freya, Sol and so on. It helps chunk protections and grant decent AS, pen and Magic Power.
I hate this item. But that's just my opinion. In reality, this is kinda needed since they removed it from his 2, Accelerate. If you fancy being a slow poke you can switch this out for whatever your hearts desire.
Yup...This just demolishes healthbars late game since of the scaling it gives on your next basic attack after an ability is crazy. Just make sure to line that shot up perfectly and watch that health go down.
This thing has his name written all over it. Now CD is quite good to have as anyone especially with these Mage ADCs. Picking this up allows you to have your ult up more often then not for team fights.
Finishing up this build will be the good ol' Rod of DABOOTY! 25% increase in magical power is great to have at anytime and with this being a late game item you're more then likely gonna have roughly 300-400 power which may add 50-100 more power.

Alternative Items

If you need to swap out Polynomicon which you really shouldn't need to then this is a great alternative to get. Providing lifesteal and power to all your team is rather great for teamfights.
Now if you're going up against a rather tanky team then this is a great item to pick up. Dealing 10% of health in true damage is hefty damage for anyone to take straight and if you land it on a Time Rift then that's a lot of damage.
Replacing Demonic Grip with this late game can really be a worth while pick for Chronos. Gaining a stack of magical power can easily stack up in your favour.
A new item that got spewed out of S4 mouth is this little ring. Hitting Gods allow you to restore 2% mana and health which can allow for some great sustain but only if you land attack after attack.
DEFENCE
When going up against a heavy physical lane or team then this can save your skin without making you sacrifice much in the way of power or penetration for it. Pick this up early and then trade it out for some more power late game if needed.
This helps with just allowing you to tank more damage. The CDR and Mana along with the MP5 is a rather nice bonus to have on this god.
You normally get this for the passive since the ability to not get one shot of like a Scylla or a Zeus is really handy. Plus you don't sacrifice much power for it
This is more of a cheeky pick then anything else. Sure it can work in a teamfight just giving 10 pen to everyone from your Stop Time (Gotta love hard CC) and come late game this is simply going to be adding to your damage.

Tips and Tricks

TIP#1:IT'S TIME TO STOP!
Stop Time is your main set-up ability so use it as the starter for most your combo's. Use it to set up Time Rift or use it to get the wind-up for Accelerate or if need be get the stun off in order to get Rewind to work. Really versatile.

TIP#2:YOU'LL NEVER HIT IF YOU NEVER SHOOT!
Now this is plain and simple for most hunters and especially for Chronos, Sol and Freya. But I highly recommend training your aim so you can land at least or 3/4 of your shots. Sure, you'll never hit every shot but you gotta make sure you land those hits. Especially when you have a Polynomicon proc available.

TIP#3:RISK TAKERS ARE PLAY MAKERS!
Considering you have probably the best get out of jail free card at your disposal and you ain't really putting points into it till late game. This allows you to be a bit more ballsy then usual since think about it. You get all your CD's back and your health and mana from 8 seconds ago (which to be honest is a long *** time in Smite.) which can allow you to be aggressive.

Matchups

Sol!
Season 4 has made Sol fall off somewhat in the ADC role but I might as well cover her here. I always say keep a close eye onto your tower to avoid her passive shredding through towers. Another key thing is to use Stop Time to secure any AA's or abilities onto her before she's able to Disapparate.

Freya!
Freya is probably the main threat you'll come across in the ADC role for magic ADC's. She's great at boxing you if ahead so it's all about early aggression which is kinda hard for Chronos to do unless his support is able to back him up. Late game is where Freya becomes hard to kill due to how much lifesteal she'll have on her and how much damage she's able to pump out.

Skadi!
Skadi has been a popular pick for a good while simply due to how effective her level 1 is with Kaldr and Piercing Cold being available. She's very hard to box due to Kaldr probably body blocking your own AA's. I'd say to keep calm and wait for her to make a mistake and take advantage of it.

Medusa!
If Skadi didn't get banned then this slippery little snaaaake is the next thing you gotta worry about. The main thing about her is her Lacerate into Viper Shot combo which can chunk most other people down. Make sure you watch out for Petrify or that'll result in certain death if your Purification Beads are down.

Conclusion

Chronos is in a pleasant spot right now, not the best mage ADC but certainly not the worst out there. Just make sure that you're able to keep the clock ticking and you may fast forward to a win!

Happy Hunting,
-Sods

Really Sunny? It still has Hastened Fatalis in it. :P

In case you don't know sunny, this is basically all he ever says. Sometimes he'll shake things up a bit by misspelling a word or saying "nice" instead of "great".

Since this build prioritizes attack speed with Demonic and Fatalis, wouldnt either Bancrofts or Book of the dead be a more suitable option with higher sustainable damage than Polynomican? Normally Polynomican works great in high power, high burst builds (Say with a Spear of Desolation and Book Of Thoth for example) due to the better scaling from high power for the Poly basic attack passive, but it makes less sense in a build with high attack speed , which benefits more from high power than the burst damage passive from Poly that is only really suitable in a build that already has very high power with no attack speed , as Polynomican itself does not have too much power compared to other items, therefore making it unsuitable in combination with Fatalis.

Hello there! I very usually run Chronos in the mid lane with a mid build and I have been looking for a carry build but have been too busy to test a build out. I'd like to thank you for this carry build. It works amazingly
