Explaining the Item Build

Medusa is a hunter that can deal a great amount of single-target damage to an enemy and turn the tide in a team battle with her ultimate ability. However, she can be overwhelmed while being surrounded as Lacerate can latch onto a surrounding enemy god and fighting out yields little chance for success. Because of this, Medusa would have to build health as well as damage at the same time. Luckily, this build focuses on building health to support her and damage at the same time so she can still be able to kill enemy gods on her own.

Explaining the Ability Build

Medusa relies mostly on Acid Spray as this ability is her main source of lane-clearing, so it is important to focus on fully-upgrading Acid Spray first, but while also upgrading some tiers on Viper Shot. Then, focus on fully-upgrading Viper Shot as this ability is how she excels in single-target damage. Afterwards, finish fully-upgrading Lacerate and Petrify. Remember, Acid Spray and Viper Shot should be main priorities when upgrading abilities; Lacerate is mainly used for mobility and doesn't need to be upgraded at every opportunity.

It's still showing the old build. You have to hit publish, not save. It'll give you a popup saying "guide published" if you did it right (it may take a few moments before the popup appears, make sure to wait for it).

The build should be organized into categories now and Magi's Blessing and Spirit Robe should have been replaced by Warrior's Tabi and Hide of the Urchin.

hmm ok.

At first, I thought it was a troll build, but it seems it's not.
If you don't specify it in your guide, we should assume it is intended for Conquest.
In Conquest mode, Medusa is mostly played as an ADC, and your goal would be to deal as much damage as you can.

So, taking defensive items is not recommended, unless you are far behind.
And even then, not more than one, otherwise you will not be a threat at all.

Also, boots are mandatory on every build, because if you don't have, your enemy will, and they will always outrun you. Plus, you will have hard time to follow your team during late game.
The choice between Warrior Tabi or Ninja Tabi is yours, as long as you have one.

Next, due to the way damage is calculated, and the fact that every god has a base amount of protection, a penetration item is mandatory in your build if you want to deal damage.
The choice between The Executioner and Titan's Bane is yours, as long as you have one.

So, if we keep your original build,
Death's Toll
Transcendence
Ninja Tabi or Warrior Tabi
The Executioner or Titan's Bane
Rage
Deathbringer

That leaves 1 slot for situational item.
However, keep in mind that you don't have lifesteal in your build yet, and it's quite a core stat for an adc.
So, Asi, Devourer's Gauntlet Soul Eater or Bloodforge would fit in your build.

If you are behind and need a defensive item, you could either replace your lifesteal item, either Deathbringer.

I'm going to agree that this build isn't really good

I don't know which role is intended for this build. but as adc it's really bad.

for other roles it's also weak. You are building crit but the build lacks attack speed for the crit to be a bit good. And it lack penetration. if I would see this build as a mid laner I would fear a warrior more late game then you as taking up Breastplate of Valor removes a lot of damage from you.

Also you are going to be really slow. get caught and you won't escape with your only escape ability being on a 15 sec CD. but on top of that your target will easily get away from you especially if they have an escape. the movement speed difference from boots is huge don't underestimate it.

I agree with Gamegeek and Wolfman. Comments on guides should be constructive.

As for the build itself, there are some things I disagree with.

Why no boots? You're gonna be much slower than your enemies when it comes to roaming, chasing, and escaping.

You also need penetration. All of that damage you do with Transcendence and your crit items are for naught if your enemy's defenses mitigate them all.

I know that this is a bruiser build, but three defensive items are probably too much for an ADC. I'd probably take the hammer out for boots, and replace the crit items with Qin's Sais and a pentration item.

EDIT: I realize that you're probably not trying to escape fights with this build. Medusa already has good chasing potential with her Lacerate, so maybe you don't need any boots.

Lets see here.

1) Straight up insulting (Depends on your point of view)
2) no actual help or advice or even tips
3) Doesnt explain why 1v1 is good.

You might wanna restate what you said, entirely.

Do you mind explaining why it's terrible? I don't play much adc myself(so I cant really judge it), but if this build works for him and he wants to share it, then by all means he should.
