Passive - Overflow
Overflow “ After 5 successful Basic Attacks, the next ability Chaac uses costs no Mana and has its cooldown reduced by 2s.” This is why Chaac is one of the Kings of the solo lane. If used properly, this ability allows the player to stay in the game without going back to regenerate mana. This also goes good with
Rain Dance.
1 - Thunder Strike
Thunder Strike “ Chaac throws his ax forward, damaging all enemies in a radius around its landing location. The ax remains idle in the ground for 5s or until another ability is used.“
Thunder Strike is one of the most unique abilities in smite. I can write a page about it but I’m going to keep it short.
Thunder Strike can be paired with your 2 and 3 to enhance your combos.
2 - Torrent
Torrent “ Chaac spins his ax around him, damaging all enemies, and gaining Protections for each enemy hit (max. 5).” This is mostly used for teleportation. This allows the character to “juke” other gods. (Throw you ax where you want to go and either attack the god or run the opposite way. Then teleport to where you want to go.) It can be used as a way to chase down low gods. (
Thunder Strike->
Torrent)
3 - Rain Dance
Rain Dance “Chaac summons a rainstorm around his current location for 6s. While it rains, he regains Health, and enemies that are caught in the mud have their Movement Speed and Attack Speed reduced.” I like to pair this with Shield of Regrowth. This combo allows you to heal and chase down foes with its speed boost. This is where this build gets deadly. You can pair
Thunder Strike +
Rain Dance to make the god almost stuck in the mud.
4 - Storm Call
Storm Call “ Chaac charges his lightning ax and unleashes a blast, Silencing, Knocking Up and damaging all enemies around him. While in the air, Chaac has 50% damage mitigation and is immune to Crowd Control effects.” This is a great way to have any god stop what there doing and get those gods just out of reach.
Also, still feel you're lacking in prots. In a general sense your build progression is okay. Maybe Regrowth is a bit early, but is a fun utility item for him. Mantle by itself is not enough magical protection for a god that is going to be relied upon to front-line. Frost shouldn't be a Shoes replacement.
Better regular item progression shouldn't see your first major prots at item #5. That's WAY too late, and no, Glad Shield doesn't count as major prots. You probably don't even need Glad Shield, honestly, if you're picking up Blackthorn Hammer. Yes, that was a popular route at one point this season, but you need counter prots earlier. BoV, Contagion, Pest, Genji, etc. are all functional early items, and you should balance your prots with some of those in most cases before you go Regrowth.
Also more counterbuild/situational options need to be listed like Pestilence, Brawler's Beat Stick, Midgardian Mail, Witchblade, Runic Shield, Genji's Guard, Pridwen etc...
Some example relics listed can be useful too.
