So number one priority is Book of Thoth. What about boots? Just buy book of Thoth. Maybe the mages blessing? BOOK OF THOTH! Buying it first with nothing else and stacking up that mana can make Kuku super powerful early game and with a couple of early kills (From said unbelievable power) can see you coasting through this quite expensive build. Other items aren't as essential they are just what I've had the most luck with
I change to something along these lines when facing a team with 3-4 Physical gods just to avoid being ganked as easily
Hi there, So if you've come here you're looking to play one of my favorite 'Wreck your day' gods, Kukulkan. I feel obliged to warn you therefor that this is not necessarily a great build for you, or a good build... Hell it could be downright feedstructive. But as the name suggests it will see you at level 20 with over the 900 magical power cap and make you a force of nature to be reckoned with.
BOOK OF THOTH
Book of thoth is undeniably the most important part of this build. You don't need boots or blessings to play Kuku you need huge Mana to augment you're ridiculous magic power. Book of thoth is what you build first and then stack it till you evolve it and start to wreck face. It can be quite dangerous as Kuku has trouble escaping enemy combos while stacking, esspecialy in conquest, but with some careful play you should be fine
CHRONS PENDANT/BREASTPLATE OF VALOR
The next thing a good Kuku needs is some cooldown. If you are facing a team with lots of physical damage I seggest the quick fix of the breastplate but if not the long wait for the chronos Pendant is well worth it
SPEAR OF DESOLATION
The next item on the list is some penetration to put the fear of the nine winds in those pesky tanks that allways want a piece of the Kuku pie. The Spear is my favorite as it gives a good boost to magic power as well as a little bit of cooldown but feel free to change to another Pen item as you see fit
SOUL REAVER
This is where SH** gets real. Boasting a massive 130 Magic power and a good damage passive the soul reaver makes Kuku's whirlwinds a bit more terrifying and his Spirit of the nine winds just Terrific
BANCROFTS TALON
This little doozy helps you to stay in the fight a bit longer as well as boosting your magic power quite respectably. In a good team I will sometimes use Pythagorums Piece instead for the team but each to their own on this one
ETHEREAL STAFF
By now you should be feeling the full effects of the super magic Kuku, What's left to build? you might ask. How about MORE POWER! This staff will give you a little health and a bit of CC reduction, As well as Power like everything in this build, but it's passive is what gives you the real boost. Stealing 8% of a gods max mana when you damage them will easily boost you over the 900 magical power mark and the stolen max health mages you a bit harder to gank (Be careful still, you're by no means a tank)
Kuku's skill build is pretty simple. Get everything unlocked. Focus Whirlwind, It'll be getting you plenty of assists. Keep spirit of the nine winds pumping, it's your killing machine. I like to prioritize Slipstream for running away as this build has no movement speed but you'll still want to be able to knock some heads around with Zephyr so make sure to put at least one point into it
All in all this build will see you become a giant glass cannon. You'll be able to put down almost anything that comes your way late game but if you get hungry early game you might just wind up feeding the enemy to victory. Either way I've had a lot of fun with this build in Jousts, Conquests and arenas and fully recommend changing bits and pieces to suit your own personal play style. Above all else though, Have some fun ruining peoples day with Kuku
Thanks for reading

But you know there's better builds that can achieve that?
At least mention in the title of your build that it's a troll build.
And some games you will need Magus/Obsidian. So that should be added as an option. Ethereal and Tahuti aren't worthwhile options on Kuku either.
What I propose instead: Book of Thoth, Shoes of Focus, Polynomicon, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver, Book of the Dead. (poly, reaver, and BotD can have their orders changed).
Or: Book of Thoth, Shoes of Focus, Spear of the Magus, Book of the Dead, Divine Ruin, Gem of Isolation.
BotD can always be considered when Book of Thoth is in the build.
I understand you’re going for that damage but how do you deal damage if you’re dead.
In the first build I would get rid of Ethereal Staff for Shoes of the Magi and in the second build I would get rid of Rod of Tahuti for Shoes of the Magi
Other than that I think it’s fine maybe watch building Breastplate on kuku but even than the item is decent because of the cdr and Kukulkan’s passive
Note: i know about this, "Hi there, So if you've come here you're looking to play one of my favorite 'Wreck your day' gods, Kukulkan. I feel obliged to warn you therefor that this is not necessarily a great build for you, or a good build... Hell it could be downright feedstructive. but anyway to the point
1. The "somewhat" recent buff to Kulkukan where instead of stating out with 30% speed on Slipstream he starts with 60% speed then increases 5% per level up to 80%. with this buff do you think that slipstream should still be prioritized for the lack of movement speed without boots but if this is mostly a damage build for rekting days then should atleast a skill point be invested into Zephyr or Whirlwind earlier?
2. For bancrofts talon should maybe be switched out with boots but boots should be needed
FYI, magical lifesteal procs off of both abilities and basic attacks. Only physical lifesteal is gained strictly from basics.
(yikes counter 1)
That means, if you had Bancroft's Talon (at basic 15% value) and you did 1,000 damage with Whirlwind (just an arbitrary number for example's sake), you would NOT get back 150 health. Instead, because it's an AOE ability, you would get back 50 (1/3 the base lifesteal value). The majority of magical god ability damage is AOE, so this helps balance the potential of the lifesteal.
