Guide Summary: Basically, this guide is a guide to making Agni a god that can make Agni’s meteors. Hit hard. This is really a guide for those unfortunate newbies that thought Agni was really good (He is) Just found out that he’s really hard to play. (Hopefully this guide will just let me see less agni’s attempting to put down their gas, and then putting down a meteor. Hopefully.) I will warn you quite a lot of text. I’ve also looked at other people’s guides while playing Agni. I appreciate all the people who have ever made a guide (I’ve taken Ra’s guide and other mages’ guides and put them on Agni.) To the Pro's and Con's!

SoulStone |
I'll be honest; It's shocking how many Agni players don't use this item. I love it. Vampiric sash is cool too. Don't get me wrong you can heal yourself, and get mana from it. But this item is pure damage. It plays well with his passive too.(Aside from that Vampiric sash is weird to me. Your flame wave doesn't kill minions in one blow early game, after all. Well if your new to agni use Vampiric Sash. But if your not so new to him, try soul stone!) |

Shoes of Focus completes Chronos Pendant. It allows you to have max cool-down. So you can make it rain! Of course not too much damage here either. |
|
Basically, lotsa power. |
Warlock's sash |
Warlock's sash is a nice item when you need to build up some more endurance, and power. It gives agni that extra oomph. Once again, you can start stacking this early game if you want. And also Warlock's sash might be more viable then book of Thoth depending on the situation! Let's say that you find yourself low on health often. This'll help. If there's a lot of tanks and you need to deal more damage, Book of Thoth. |

Spear of Magus! A nice item that goes well with your passive and your three! But why this, over Obsidian shard? This will explain. Obsidian Shard and Spear of Magus are interchangeable! But I prefer spear because three times out of five, you'll deal with more squishy opponents then warriors/guardians. Also try not to skip out on this item. Newbs are probably thinking, it only has 40 DAMAGE?! This guy is cookoo? And that pen is so small! Well hate to break it to you, this item late game is better than trying to get Soul Reaver late game. Just Like you I thought just pure power is good enough, but power and a little bit of pen is the best damage build. |

Bulwark of hope. It's a lovely item. Gives you 450 health, the passive that decreases damage for a second, and that nice defense. Good against mages! |
|
Soul Reaver. It's cool. Probably good against tanks. But it's an item that I rarely use and I think I've only used it once in Conquest, just for experimentation purposes and it was a meh. |
Celestial Helm |
Celestial Helm, a really situational item. It's nice late game, when your playing against an opponent with a couple critical items (And you have to be somewhat tankey.) Lot's of people don't use this item, even though it actually gives you a considerable amount of power after taking a crit. |
So as you may have noticed the first two builds are for Joust, the last one is for conquest. If you haven't noticed, and your reading this, then now you know. Why are there two? The reason being that in Joust, you start off with two people on your team. Meaning that it's much harder for you to die. That's why for the Joust build I suggest a full power build. In conquest however, you're alone. And most of those mages out there can deal like 500 damage in one blow. Or even kill you in two. As an agni whose ult makes you have to stand still that proves to be an issue. Hence I suggest a tank build in Conquest, so you can take a hit. (And ontop of that those minions are relentless, if you try to take a minion wave head on sometimes you might noticed your health go down to half.) And of course most assassin's will eat you alive if you don't have any defense. That's why I suggest an Ethereal Staff first, in this way you have a little bit of power and it takes a mage and assassin to kill you in early game... (Well if you can juke them often, you might even be able to survive that o.o)
This is my first time ever making a guide. I don't know what more to say. If you have any suggestions please commment. Any mistakes? Once again comment and I'll change it. Like I said, I know that there's probably lots of text in here. But I dunno what to trim out and what to leave in. I guess also a little plain too. It's short I guess.

His only form of hard CC is his 1, which isnt immediate and needs a setup. Enemies can easily avoid it.
Although his 4 and 1 combo is good, the stun is really only one second, which isnt very useful at a long range you have to use the combo. It would be better with damage, but then he will be a mage and not support.
I dont like the idea of a support or tank Agni, but if you have experimented on it and it works, wont say anything.
Now, onto the debate of Soulstone, or Vampiric Shroud. It's a harsh debate, but in the end Vampiric Shroud comes out on top, the +100 Mana you get from Soulstone, is nowhere near the same value as Vampiric Shroud] 's +100 Health. I understand why you would get [[Soulstone (for the Rain Fire, Noxious Fumes, Flame Wave combo) but what ends up happening is this:
You use Rain Fire on the enemy when you have Soulstone stacked up, you place Noxious Fumes for the stun and then use Flame Wave for the damage. You would think that the Soulstone passive would apply on the Rain Fire, but it doesn't. It actually applies on the Noxious Fumes, as I'm sure you know, a fully stacked Soulstone will deal +5% more damage on your next spell. So, 5% of Noxious Fumes' level 1 damage. It's disappointing, this is why Vampiric Shroud wins.
Don't be disheartened, I made a few building errors in my guides, but I've fixed almost all of them. You don't have to make the change from Soulstone to Vampiric Shroud, I'm simply saying that Vamp Shroud is better stat wise. Also, try to not use so much slang while in the guide, a good pun or joke is nice every so often, but people read guides for guidance, not jokes. You must elaborate clearly, and concisely what each item gives to the god and say why it is better than another item. Moreover, you don't say how to use meteors in a specific order, o any of Agni's incredibly damaging combos. Additionally, you don't state how to win laning phase against other gods. Especially if you're going to put Agni in the Tank role, you have to say how to play that role with Agni. Other than that, this guide is well done. Add a few more things and you'll receive an up vote from me.
