Nox extends her shadow, rooting and crippling a single enemy god in place and dealing damage over time. Nox must channel and stay within range to maintain hold on the target, but may cancel this ability early. Nox will continue to channel this ability even if she is hit by Crowd Control effects. While channeling this ability Nox suffers no directional movement penalty.

Nox creates a void of darkness that silences all enemies within. After 2s it explodes, dealing damage.

Shadow Step

Nox dashes forward, dealing damage to all enemies. If she hits an allied god, she leaps into their shadow, traveling with them. When Nox exits a shadow, she deals damage again in a radius around her. Nox may cancel this ability early to exit shadows.

Night Terror

Nox unleashes a vortex of dark energy that explodes on contact with an enemy god, dealing damage to all enemies in range 20 and applying damage over time. Enemies hit are also weakened, dealing less damage for the duration.

Initial Damage: 200 / 250 / 300 / 350 / 400 (+75% of your Magical Power)
Damage: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 (+5% of your Magical Power) every 1s for 5s
Damage Reduction: 30% for 5s
Range: 120
Cost: 100
Cooldown: 90 / 85 / 80 / 75 / 70s

Early game amulet purchasing

When you purchase the amulet do not purchase the upgraded version just the one that cost 0 coins. Wait until have have enough gold for boots and upgrade to purchase upgraded amulet.

Item Purchasing

I find that this build works well when purchasing each item at Tier Three, but you can buy items as you please.

Late game purchasing

So the last item you will purchase the the chronos’ pendant. Sell your blessing item and purchase pendant.

Final build

On final buil the only reason pendant is first item of build is because you’re going to be selling your blessings to be able to purchase final item.

Final build is decent, well mostly. is cheap power, but doesen't benefit from the lifesteal that much, I would rather get to improve her survivability. last item with only the 10% CDR from is too long to delay it. I would get it sooner, and also get another CDR item like (if you don't get ). is an ok choice, is mostly single target, the movement speed can also help her dodge abilties while casting , even though the item's movement speed is probably more useful in conquest. is a great item on , but not necessarily core, as double tanks or just very high protections on the other team can necessitate a , but indeed is typically the superior option. isn't necessarily core on , she works allright with as well.

So im suggesting building like this:
Start: or , , (your style). I myself would start with , , 2 , 1 (you should be taking mana buff for early mana and CDR).

Full build I would go: , , , , , , (after selling the blessing you had for start).

If you need antiheal badly, I would get instead of (and would get it earlier, like 3rd item) and swap for .

Also, scrap getting Meditation Cloak, is almost always the better option.

From what I have seen, will be evolved after 10 and combos on a god, this doesent include other enemies being hit in , or using her or , so I would believe that this item wouldn't take too long to stack at all if your team is aggressive and you help by casting your abilites.

Just started playing more Nox myself,and was wondering how Warlock's Staff is on her. I've had pretty good success with it on her, but most of those were arena matches.

Depends on the game mode. For Arena it's not really worth the time stacking. Can be a decent option on joust and a good option in conquest.

Bancrofts isnt terrible on her since she does ticking damage. Does the lifesteal count for each tick or is that a no?

Should be per tick but I haven't tested it (since I don't build lifesteal on ).

Magical lifesteal counts on all ticking/DoT damage.

Lifesteal can be a nice luxury addition for her for sustain purposes (or in the case of , cheap power as Kriega stated), but she doesn't need it, at least depending on mode and how much actual sustain you really want/need.

Things to consider with lifesteal on specific mages are 1) their ability to connect on their damaging abilities, and 2) how many abilities are single target or AOE.

This is pretty straightforward. Siphon Darkness is a main thing to consider here. It's got the most burst damage of her non-ult abilities, but are you going to actually hit it? If you don't connect with Shadow Lock, it's unlikely the enemy stays within the circle. So one ability is mostly dependent on another.
Kriega had to remind me recently...AOE abilities have a 0.33x coefficient applied to it. Meaning, if your ability is able to hit multiple gods, the lifesteal is only going to be 1/3 of full effectiveness. Bancroft's Talon while at full effectiveness (low health) provides 35% lifesteal. 3 of her 4 abilities can hit multiple targets...so you'll only get 11.7% lifesteal from those. That's pretty weak, all things considered. So, lifesteal really isn't all that effective for her.
