Introduction

You ever play a video game, and something about it reminds you of another game? In SMITE, there are no shortage of references to do just this. From Rayquaza Kukulkan to Alien Serqet Vs Predator Kali. Even the fathers of SMITE Odin and Zeus get involved in a console war. Then there's Ravana, a whole character, and not just a skin, to remind you of the whole fighting game genre. IceColdPappsi here to bring you my second guide on Akuma.

Pros / Cons

Ravana is a very "IN YO FACE" kinda guy.

Pros
- Good CC
- Dash gets him out of CCs
- Mediocre Heal
- Multi Purpose Ult
- Both ability based and Basic attack based warrior
- Very potent combo

Cons
- Relatively small ability cursors
- Heal got nerfed
- Not much team fight presence

Abilities

Ravana's abilities is why I called Akuma earlier.

Passive: Chain of Blows
This is a buff that gives a shield after 8 successful basic attacks. This can also be stacked by hitting multiple minions/ gods with your abilities, except for your ult. The shield is a percentage of your health.

Ability 1: Prana Onslaught
His abilities is why he has that con about his ability sizes. This is a small cone that damages and slows enemies. This can open up your opponents for combos, so initiating with this will help, and it also does not cost a lot of mana, so using this early game will not hurt you.

Ability 2: Overhead Kick
This is a small line that throws a ball in front of you that damages enemies, makes you faster very briefly while you're back flipping, and giving you CC immunity. Say you use this to escape. If the enemy were to use an ability with a CC, like a silence, root, or stun, it wouldn't work. It's so good, there's an achievement if you do this.

Ability 3: 10-Hand Shadow Fist
This is a line ability that's longer than your 2. Hitting enemies will damage and root them, and heals you. The heal did get hit pretty hard 3 patches ago as of 3.19, but is still viable enough to keep you in the fight. The root is also helpful for fleeing enemies with jumps or dashes, because they can't use it if they are rooted or crippled. Cripples let you move, but you can't jump, dash or teleport. Roots keep you in place, only allowing you to turn around and assess the situation.

Ability 4: Mystic Rush
When Ravana was released, you had to have an enemy targeted to use this. Now, it is a jump that, if selected on an enemy, damages them. Only enemies in the center of where you jumped can deal full damage to you, while everyone else does half damage for an okay duration. This can also be used to escape, and chained into your 2 to give you more room between you and your chaser. Do note that your ult does not go a large distance, but does go over walls, so plan your positioning accordingly.

Items

Now, I know what you're saying. "Why would build any of this on a warrior?" The builds up there are for people who like to rush down, deal damage, and not get penalized.

Build 1: E. Honda
I named the builds off of Street Fighter characters because Ravana just reminds me of this game. In Street Fighter, E. Honda slaps you in the face at blinding speed. Thus, this is an attack speed build. With Hastened Fatalis, Odysseus' Bow, and Qin's Sais, you can go in, hit four basic attacks, deal true damage, chain lightning, and be able to chase them down if they start to run. The crit items are just icing on the cake, because of course, you've been wrecking the enemy team and deserve to be a bully. If you haven't been doing so hot, Wind Demon, Poisoned Star, and Runeforged Hammer are here for you. In one crit, you get almost 100 more movement speed, reduce your opponents by almost a quarter, and deal almost a quarter more damage! Combine that with your 1, and they're slowed by half. Little combo tip: Root them with your 3, basic them until they're un-rooted or until they beads, use your 1 to slow them, basic them some more to slow even more, and ult if they're out of basic range.

Build 2: Akuma
In Street Fighter, Akuma is so op, he throws Hadokens in mid air. He is also know to suck the life out of you. Transcendence is in the build because it works in conjuction with Jotunn's Wrath. Titan's Bane is to shred through the defenses of anybody that stands in your way. The lifesteal in this build is because Ravana is basic attack based, so he will see great use out of this. Shield of Regrowth gives you movement speed after every time you heal using your 3. Not only this, but Asi provides a good amount of attack speed and a very popular passive that sees many professional players picking it up. On the other hand, if you've been behind in gold, you can pick up Runeforged Hammer for that utility. Stone of Gaia is to increase the sustain factor, and Gauntlet of Thebes is to help you heal up more when using your 3. These last 2 items are a great alternative to lifesteal, because it doesn't require to get in people's faces to get some health back.

Build 3: Guile
Guile is all about the Sonic Boom spams and backflips. Thus, cooldown is essential.
Transcendence is such a good item in this build due to the amount of items in this build with mana. Jotuun's Wrath and Breastplate of Valor give cooldown and mana, Hide of the Urchin gives protections, health, and mana. Bulwark of Hope is also a very meta choice for warriors as it gives them a shield when they get too low. Combined with his passive, Ravana can have a shield that is equal to half his health! On the Feeding side, the cooldown is spread across 3 items instead of 2, but is more cost efficient for those of us who aren't racking up kills. Mail of Renewal gives you health back after every god and objective kill or assist. Spirit Robe gives you protections of both kind, CC reduction, and damage reduction when hit by a CC. This can help you stay alive until you get back to base. Lastly, Stone Cutting Sword is to reduce the enemies protections after a few basic attacks. With Titan's Bane, this can give you considerable penetration against tankier gods and objectives.

Final Words

Thank you for reading my guide. If you feel like a certain build doesn't suit your play style, or that it makes Ravana too squishy, change it. These are just suggested builds that I have used in the past. Please leave a comment if I left anything out, or you want something added/ changed. If you'd like, check out my first guide on Agni. Lastly, don't forget to take a break every once in a while and drink a refreshing cup of IceColdPappsi.
