Some people love Korra, some people hate it; I love it!

I agree that gods are oversexualized, I'm just pointing out that it's not just the female gods.

Different people find different things sexy; I don't see how you can label the top half of Arachne as sexy, but then try to argue that Argni isn't sexy. Fact is, almost every single god is oversexualized - but there are exceptions, both male and female.

I'm not arguing that Arachne hasn't been attempted to be sexified, but there is certainly reason to it - to portray her as a previous female; she didn't simply spring into existence as a spider. Also, surveys on opinions do not scientifically validate the assertion that one god is sexier than another. Sure, a consensus (of a very small population) could be reached...but they're both "sexified" anyways, lol.

As for referring to arachne's breast, I found it the easiest to refer to because they're supposed to be lady parts, silly!

I know it's a very short response to state this twice in, but I'll say it again anyways: gods are indeed oversexualized, but it's all of them, not just females.

Also, I'm sorry if this response seems rushed - I have tests in Calculus and Psychology tomorrow, and I need to focus! >:(

I think some god's are MEANT to be that way "Aphro" and some are NOT "Like what they tried to do with Athena's card"

Korra was OK, I never got to watch it all though. :'( Not as good as Avatar the series but still better than Avatar the movie (not hard at all)

Yes, I am sure there are some male gods who look overly sexualized, such as Hercules. I agree with you on this part. Our conflict seems to be the distribution of the sexiness.

Yes, I know that different people find different things sexy. But you tell me, would you consider Athena's outfit - which certainly looks good on her - as sexy as, say, Artemis' hunting armor or Aphrodite's lingerie? There are different degrees of sexuality.

I consider there to be 3 kinds. 1: Not sexualized. 2: Sexualized. 3: Overly sexualized.

My problem is that most goddesses seem to be stuck with number 3 for no discernible reason, while most male gods are at number 2.

Yes, she is/was a woman. Now she is a woman-spider. But riddle me this, why is she oversexualized? I don't have a problem with her top half being, uh, well-endowed, but is there really a need to dress her in a revealing corset?

Well, I suppose it is easier to refer to them at first, and I suppose they are rather hard to ignore. I just wish that breasts weren't HiRez's go-to way of telling us, "SHE'S A WOMAN!"

I'm not sure if you are a guy or not, but imagine if nearly every god wore clothing that exposed their crotch the same way they exposed their goddesses' breasts, since apparently we need sexual characteristics to identify gender.

Thor...even if we can see his buffness, we can tell from his outfit that he's some kind of warrior. Can you look at Neith's outfit and tell me hat she's a fighter as well?

I...have to disagree. I think this is the main point in which our views diverge. You think that most of the gods are oversexualized. I think that most of them are sexualized, and some are oversexualized, but the latter are mostly women.

Thanks, I'll have a (short) response when I return, but at this point we've generally come to agreement and, like you said, we just have differing opinions on the intensity of this so called "sexificiation."
