I went and got another 800 gems earlier (that means I spent like $150 on smite already wow)today early in the morning for anubis's voice pack. I already had enough favor for his gold and I own his gem skin already from a long time ago.

I didn't really play anubis much as I usually played ranged carries like Anhur.
I don't really pick mages much but when I do I usually pick someone like agni.

But for some reason I was re-liking anubis so I figured he will be my main mage.

Man Anubis is freaking scary when you melt people's faces off with your ult.

I went 13-5 this one game and I remember LITERALLY only having my ULT BEAM on them for a split second and I melted their face off in literally like 1 second or less.

Of course I was fed from melting faces off.

Whats more crazy is with anubis people fear me after I start melting their faces off.
I literally don't even care to stand in front of a 1 v 3 as long as I keep my distance.

I noticed that NOBODY wants to attack me because they fear my stun + ULT so what happens is 3 of them will just camp back and look at me lolol!

Man anubis pwns so hard I don't know why I am enjoying him alot more now then before probably because I was a noob when I first tried anubis.

BTW I am using anubis WITH MY XBOX CONTROLLER.

His ult is ridiculously hard to do with a xbox controller but I figured out how to pwn with his ult while using my xbox controller!

I use my xbox controller for everything but when I ult I use my pad on my laptop and surpisingly it seems to work better than a mouse.

Anubis ult is just so satisfying to see you rip that health bar down in a split second.

I'm wondering though, in terms of ULT's how does Anubis's ult rank.

His ult has to be at least top 5 because that **** is strong as ****.

Anubis is fun, and can kill a lot of people. Not viable on competitive, due to the lack of escapes, though.

A good anubis is a terror on the field.

I remember one game my entire team bough magi's blessing just to control ONE anubis that had gone something like 40 and 3. We did eventually win because his team was garbage but it took us going 5v1 against him.

Anubis is nasty. You deal with him the same way you deal with all the gods. Respect him. Respect what he can do and how he works. And you pay him respect by remembering to move properly around him.

Anubis is the definition of a glass cannon. You get Coccooned, you die. You don't, you kill him. He's squishy enough to get one shot, but his ult can basically one shot.

That's why anubis players are easy to seperate - good and bad. You either do really well, or really bad.

A big thing with Anubis is that when he starts melting faces, people DO become too scared to engage him, thinking they'll die. I had this exact scenario when I was in a 3v3 Joust.

Their ally left early, leaving an Anubis/Athena combo vs us, me as Aphrodite, Hades and Ao Kuang for teammates. We pushed up to their Phoenix after forcing Athena back to base, who had been holding the lane while Anubis jungled. At this point we realized that without the third member on their team, the two of them were getting a lot more exp/gold than us and quickly pulled ahead, killing us all several times.

My team got very scared and were constantly saying "We need lvls, we can't engage, they're too far ahead". I finally convinced them to just bum-rush Anubis, and when we did we downed him in a matter of seconds and put their Athena in full retreat (Athena had been building full tank to use her CCs to control us while Anubis nuked but wasn't expecting us to all-out rush them). This one win showed my team that if we focused Anubis down, we could win the game simply because Athena could do nothing to us while we pushed their lane hard.

TL;DR: Killing a fed Anubis just once can give your team the morale to push through the stigma of Anubis being invulnerable when fed and realize just how amazingly glassy he is.

Second TL;DR: Morale is everything.

Tried some Anubis jungle games last night with a friend (who went solo Thor, Freya and Loki), Thor stun into mummify, berserker barrage, grasping hands and plague of locusts so much damage!
Guessing you guys get the other combos :P

But yeah he is crazy squishy and very easy to get caught out of position when jungling, I found that getting speed buff was really great on him to be able to get away.

Actually I want to try combat blink on anubis.
It might be helpful since he has no escapes.
