Also, I wouldn't mind if SmiteFire looked a bit more like MobaFire, more... Enticing.

I mean, when I load up MobaFire, I'm impressed at how modern and 'high-tech' it looks. This actually persuades me to delve deeper into the grimy depths of MobaFire, and actually wants me to check some of their **** out.

When I load up SmiteFire, I'm greeted with this black, archaic looking website. And, with no intention to offend any of the website designers here, compared to MobaFire, this site looks old. It looks out of date, and maybe the community associates our guides with our out of date look? I mean, first impressions is everything. If someone doesn't like what they see, then they'll lack the motivation to come back here. I mean, this is something the Admins need to do, so we really can't help with this at all.

Personally, I thought the site looked old when I first came. MobaFire still wasn't updated from memory, but even then, this still looked old. The sad reality is, I only joined because I saw an opportunity to get big. SmiteFire was just released, and the overall standards were very low. I was the 69th member of SmiteFire, so there were not many high-quality guides at the time. I decided to chuck out a guide, and it ended up being incredibly high-quality and ended up being top-rated la di da.

My point is, I only came here because of opportunity, not because I wanted to discuss Smite related things here. Granted, now that it's grown, my original intentions have changed, but if I came to this site now, not 1 and a half years ago, I would not join. It would not be enticing enough for me to join, because the first impressions that it gives in terms of its looks aren't that great.

Now, I know we're talking about guides here, but I'm currently talking about the community as a whole.

Also, after thinking over it, I'm impressed at how devious I was when I was twelve.

You did that on purpose, you little devil.

As long as we don't switch over to Naruto adverts, then I'm pretty happy with Smitefire's design. They don't look all that different to me, to be honest.

Admittedly, if I wasn't the 69th member, I would've just said 'one of the earliest members' :P

I havnt gone through the whole thread so can be wrong at places. I guess the idea is to improve the quality and usability of this site. Post newer guides make them easily accessible, etc. All of u have highlighted meaningful issues. I guess it would be nice if u make a consensus on various issues and make a manifesto like thing regarding wat needs to be done to take this site to next level.

Not sure if anyone else is going to do this, but I will if they aren't. A lot of pages of reading though. D:

Have patience. There are a lot of good ideas going around and I think we can come to a consensus soon.

However they still need to be documented and organized instead of left scattered around. No matter what, if it is started now it can just keep being edited.

I have a scheme it might sound vague:

Why not we take initiative the site itself to send an editorial report to hi-rez people every 15-20 days and post tat like an editorial corner on this site as well. It wont be a comprehensive or a lenghty report but a concise and short report highlighting important points or issues discussed out here under certain heads like:

1. Copyright issues if getting violated
2. Player issues.
3. Problem with gods.
4. General suggestions for improvement, etc.

The report will involve issues or posts which the editors think shall be helpful in improving the game and hi-rez must know them. They must be part of the posts so tat nobdy can point out editors for being self bias. This would also encourage and attract people to post on this site and discuss on various issues.

I haven't been following the thread, and it's progression. But from my understanding, it isn't about how the game is balanced, it is the sites layout and guide quality. That being said your idea maybe good, but not related to what's at hand. Then again I could be totally off.

Its about a creative role the site can play and improve its usefulness in comparison to other sites. As more people find the site useful u r going to get new ideas, feedbacks and better guides with more people coming in, keeping in mind a certain level of quality check.
