Wait...so what's the difference between taking 10 seconds to click on a god in TM to taking 10 seconds to clicking on the top guide on a god and copying the build?

Here's an idea. Make a SmiteFire youtube channel! Since there is already twitch.

We bring around the most talkative but no try hard players. Here is a day to day watch list example:
Sunday Shenanigans (Where our community or maybe the SMFG clan will make ridiculous teams and see if we can win a game. Like that "Almost" fail all Thanatos + Anubis match)
Monday Morning Podcast. Where recorded podcast (Also with video cam) talk about Smite and everything related to it for an hour. Talking about their games how the game itself is. etc.

All that and more if we put our heads together. It's just an idea though. But it will need dedication and patients. Which someone I see that non of us have it here.

But it is a good way to advertise our little forum AND our guides.

But then we would need Mowen's permission for that, it I doubt we can.

But this tread was about what we can do to fix the Smitefire reputation and hopefully get more ppl to the site.

So the opinion ppl have of the site is that it is full of outdated and bad guides (even top rated guides), there are good guides but it is difficult to find them and some ppl are just mad because they once made a guide that was **** and someone told them to add some bb-coding etc. to make it look better and that hurt their feelings.

How I see it we can easily at least begin to fix this with removing a lot of the guides and leaving the once that actually deserve to be here. When that is done we can start to be more strict with what guides we allow to stay published and maybe make guides more accessible on the front page.

Because TM shows the most common build for that god, when played by the top players in the world.

On Smitefire the top rated guide could have been made by someone who have never even played the game. :P

Don't think YT would help to much, if you look at the Twitch channel it never really had much popularity :P

I agree that a YT channel or something could give much needed publicity, but first of the stuff that ppl have against Smitefire should be fixed.

About cleaning up guides,... Why not the admin archive all guides so anyone that is still active can publish it again. It's not bad at all

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
