The kit is gimicky. It lacks burst. She needs items so badly since her kit can't carry herself at all not like most assassins. Assassin what? I only see someone with big boobs and a cat.

you know, im pretty much the person who coined that argument of that they should look beutifull because gods are ment as the perfect image of humans but after doing some more reading into the subject that is actually a really bad excuse.

long story short, some time ago MatPat from gametheory (likely got payed to do it) did an episode on the subject of the way gods are being represented in smite, he came back to the scandal of old kali and the hindu extremists that threatend hirez over her dressing, he got to the conclusion that they were perfectly fine and not "over sexualised".

some time after that i watched a video dealing with a scandal over one of the drawings an artist who worked for marvel on an collection coverpage for one of their new comic books featuring spider woman (jessica drew). rather then explaining what he talks about i'll just post the video link. the most important part is that this quote: "sexualization is all in your head, your mind does it."
and then it hit me, those hindu's spoke spesificly about "pornogrification" and not "sexualization" so MatPat was right in a way, the goddesses werent't sexualized in his mind. but the hindu's (probebly not in the way they think) are also right.

the goddesses in smite are pornogrified, a lot even. there is no sexualisation or oversexualisation in smite, there is pornogrification. if you look at drawings MatPat showed in his episode then you will see that the focus of the drawings and paintings is NEVER ***/BOOBS, in kali's it's the fact that she is wearing a huge neckless of skulls, being blue and the amount of dead bodies that take the focus, those are not pornogrified and aren't ment to draw out sexualisation.

AND NEITH HAS HAIR LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE! HMM DAT NECKLESS THO'. sorry i should be looking at her boobs? sorry i was destracted by other things in the drawing that take way more focus.

now look at old kali, in a lot of different picture's you see her in she is holding her balloons out at all times, those things were the taking the focus in smite's disign. same with aphrotitties and neith's dress might not cover her A cup breasts but they sure left more to the imagination then the skin tight suit smite makes her wear.

more so with the female's then with the males but both groups are pornogrified to varying extends.

i don't fully blame hirez for this though... well i dont fully blame the majority of hirez.

the pornogrification of characters has been done to death in so many forms of media that its hard not to get sucked into that, never the less there must still be some huge perverts some where at the higher ups in hirez.

2 or 3 people thought "hey i can furioulsy jack to dat while making a buck". hirez isn't the only company who does this but currently they are one of the few that still aren't learning.

riot has been getting more creative with the body shapes of their woman recently with Rek'Sai, Kalista and Jinx and even before that they had characters that weren't just cleavage like diana, leona, kayle and lux though they also did some pornogrification in the past...(i use the word some lightly)

i do hope that they learn some day though.

sorry for coming back to that but i had to say that, had to for a long time.

as for her design, gimicky but creative but doesn't look all that strong right now.

it is something new though and that is good.

I'm just glad everyone's biggest issue is the art design and not the balancing/kit/etc.

hey if hirez does something wrong we point it out but when they do something good like an interesting kit we point it out as well.

in one part, yes it is about perception, that part is the sexualisation.

in the other part? no, no it's not, they have defently been trying to pornogrify some of the goddessess. the cup sizes, the things they say (neith get's hot and sweaty from lane pushing... needs more of dots............................. is my reaction) and their clothing. some where at hirez there are people furiously masturbating to the **** they created.

some of these are just unneccesary, aphro is the goddess of beauty. sexyness=/=beauty and the argument can be made that the greeks idea of beauty is very different from ours hence why the face and not the ***, tits or genitalia were the focus of their drawings and paintings.

on one part its about perception in the form of sexualisation but they have defently been working some stuff in that gets way to close to soft core porn in the designs and have been trying to pornogrify the gods and goddesses for which it's not up to perspective.

Meh, any way you slice it women and men alike being sexualised is commonplace in the vast majority of games. League is pretty guilty of this as even some of the more covered ladies like fiora have an exaggerated chest or hips.

Games like MOBAs are aimed at males aged 14-30 generally speaking, the age of highest ***** levels. So why not capitalise on said horniness and sex up your characters, most people won't complain. That said, an armoured woman is always nice, even though I personally find Athena pretty despite her being an eternal virgin.
