Hey guys. I don't know if there is a post about this already, so I decided to create one.
I've had some problems were I needed to solo lane on solo queue, still I don't know that new meta so well, as it is quite different from the Middle Lane( you'll probably face a 1v2).

What gods are the best Solo Laners in your opinion? Do they need to be bruisers? good sustainers? good wave cleaners?

in new formation solo laner should be vs another solo laner and not vs 2
but SMITE is on the crossroad beetween his own lineup (2-1-2) and LOL/DOTA lineup (1-1-1-2)
we will see how will it go

as for your choice it could be tanky, it could be bruiser but essentially he would have to have some decent def/sustain and some reasonable AoE dammage in order to follow up when jungler arrives

I actually prefer as solo laner. Although you will have problem early game, after buying transcendence you will have no problem. And if enemy's jungler come, you can just backflip

HERCULES is one of the best solo laners. I'm surprised no body has brought him up yet.

I know Guan yu can solo, Odin can solo and I think sobek can solo because I seen a pretty good sobek soloing but the sobek was also facing a solo lane so not sure how he would stack up with 2 people playing against him.

Try out Hercules, for some reason I don't see many people soloing with him in regular matches and some people don't even pick him at all. Hes the only person I solo lane with besides Anhur because of course Anhur is my favorite so I will pick him no matter what :)

I want to try out Gaun Yu solo lane to see how good he is, I never personally played with him solo but seen people play solo with him.

Oh hades is another solo lane which I seen played well with good players, I don't play hades so I don't know the best way to play him.

With hercules you need to build on how well you are doing with him in the lane. I usually start off with me 1 + 2 so I can just clear the waves. But if your having a hard time it is super important to max out his 3 early.

Another tip which I seen yesterday used by a odin was pretty cool, odin picked up hand of the gods so he can clear waves when his cooldowns are used.

The good thing about hercules is I use his ULT as a wave clearer to return to base, its almost like how people use Ra's ult to return to base.

But with hercules just use the 2 to grab the archer minions then push them all with your 1. DO NOT push them back wards on a 2v1 lanes if you notice the players attacking you every time you do it, if they are smart and start attacking you then you need to need push the minions side ways so you avoid damage.

On tip for soloing laning is that YOU ARE JUST DEFENDING YOUR TOWER, you are not trying to win your the other tower but its a good thing if it happens. It will be impossible for the 2v1 lane to push as long as you clear the minions waves, sometimes I just sit in tower range and clear minions.

Just defend your tower until your jungler gets really fed.

Also I imagine that any mage should be able to solo decently since mages are used in 1v1 lanes because they can clear waves with ease, IMO mages can solo lane because of this as long as they stay back and just DEFEND their tower without trying to get aggressive.

ICEN, I've solo laned only as Sobek for now, and I've to admit, he is a great solo laner. I'll add Guan Yu and Hades to my list, since I don't know how to play Odin and Hercules well for now.

As what the others have said, , or is probably the three most efficient gods to solo lane with. I have yet to see a solo lane, maybe a little hard for him to kill the minions at first, but he sure does have abilities for it!

Ya I want to know why people don't pick hercules. It seems I only see hercules used by really good players in ranked but still its not as common as other gods. I think Hercules can clear pretty decent, I mean if you build him with some damage his 1 can kill minions by itself.

If it doesn't kill minions then it puts them on low enough hp where it only takes one basic attack to kill them off with. Maybe people find his play style boring or something. I'm going to try soloing with Guan Yu and Hades today since I never play them

I see a lot of mage solo laners but i think Odin is probably the best solo laner

I just started to mess with sobek solo lane, I guess I'll see how well I can do with him. I don't get to solo much with sobek because everytime you are a sobek everyone wants to lane with you
