The missiles are weird. A pure damage skill for once, deals good damage.

The odd part is, the distance that is calculated for the missile damage is NOT the distance when it is fired. The distance that is used is when it lands.

So, you can fire the missile and run the other direction with sprint or something to get as much distance between you and the target area, and it will do ***loads of damage?

Basically. It's like pre-nerf Nidalee. But also know, if you're chasing someone, using your ult will end up causing it to do less damage. But the ult is hard enough to hit with to begin with so I'd focus on landing it more than trying to get more damage.

Vulcan is now the king of zoning. You think Chaac is bad? how about a displacing bomb, a turret with a large firing area, AND now an ult that has the diameter of a lane. Not to mention, if you hit someone with Backfire, they'll expect you to place your turret, so they turn and run? ********, he's the master of zoning now. Now's when you start worrying.

Also, the bruiser build still works beautifully on him.

Idk, half his stuff is very avoidable, and many find him worse than before. He hits hard, but his grenade is slow and a very small area, so juking is very easy. His ult is the slowest thing I have ever seen in any game ever (maybe a tad bit of an exaggeration), and if you get hit by it you deserve to die, his backfire is the same as always, and his turret is now able to be oneshotted by even the weakest of gods. His passive is also near useless with the number attached to it, it's worse than Gem of Binding and Frostbound Hammer. Sure it's free, but it's just bad

Against anyone smart, they'll dodge anything he has and one shot a turret. And they aren't on the shortest of cooldowns.

At least he sort of has auto attack harass I guess, but he'll NEVER be a mid laner. I vehemently believe there is not a single mage spell that will not kill a turret with ease.

It's a shame. I want to raise my ****ers. But I cannot, for my ****er is too wimpy.

New Vulcan was SO bad that they hotfixed him today, LOL.

Not sure how he is after the buffs, but he seems like he might be strong enough to be played as a solo lane mage. He's not going to be popular since his stuff is pretty difficult to land reliably, but he's powerful if you do.

Played against multiple Vulcans in mid lane as Anubis and basically stomped their **** all over the place. But, I usually do that against basically anything in randoms, He Bo, Ao Kuang, Nu Wa, Agni, etc, etc. Vulcan seemed a little easy to push around though.

Today, which I guess he was "buffed" by now?, hasn't been any different.

If you were one-shotting his turrets with an auto-attack, that was pre-buff. New Vulcan was basically the old Vulcan (worst character in the game,) plus a new ult... and minus his turret. They changed his passive, and they took out the part where he gave health/protections to his turrets, so they were so weak that they died to anything. I can only imagine how low his win rate was yesterday without his turret to prompt a hotfix + across the board buffs.

Seems likely that they'll just keep buffing his damage until he's viable one way or the other. I still think he'll always be behind others that can do damage more consistently, but viable would be a big step up.
