Haha, I've actually done Aphrodite jungle a few times. Mygod how bad that is (90% of the time) xD

As you said doing stupid stuff is fine when you are playing with your friends, but when you play ranked/league you go with something that actually works :)

Uh, really... Lanerir does not work. He used to wreck people with a good support( Aphrotits + Fenpup Release was OP), but not anymore. He is a good duelist, but there are a few things that make Fenrir a bad solo:

-Squishy.
-Sustain via Lifesteal ONLY.
-No wave clearing potential.

But he fills:

-Good escapes.
-Good dueling potential.

Mage mid, jungle and solo.

But i hate the neith apollo adc meta with the ocasional anhur. Atleast in normal ranked. I dislike the sobek athena tank. I dispise the poseidon, agni with the ocasional ra mid meta.
(I know i didn't name a few)

The only roles that are flexible are jungle and solo which is the pur reason i have been playing that more then anything else.

I want random ranked with xbal's, cupid's, art's, ymir's, etc. If you play anymof those gods better then the holy meta gods.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Reiterating the fact since people seem to keep overlooking it; things like the meta and tier lists are all based around a make-believe scenario where all players have an equal skill level and equally skilled teams. You can create a smurf account and destroy with any counter-meta thing you want, just like better players could do the same to you. Similarly, play whoever you want mid, if the enemy team jungler camps you while yours afk farms all game, you're gonna lose your lane.

The meta really only matters once you start playing at a higher level where everyone knows the optimal paths and gods.

Also, the meta changes pretty quickly, with each patch basically. Unless you plan on keeping up with the changes each patch, again, don't worry about it. I see Isis and He Bo mid five times more than Pos and Ra now, and the OP three ADCs now seems like Anhur for killing potential or Apollo for global presence, with Neith reduced to a second tier with Xbal and Artemis (each who are still viable in their own way.) I remember seeing complaints about Chang'E being overpowered since her release, and now she's considered a bad solo laner and rarely seen. Eye of Providence becoming a must-own on tanks hurts Ymir since he can't use blink, etc.

When you play ranked you should keep up with every patch, you should know the meta, what counters what, know how the competitive players play etc. (watch streams).
At least how it is now, with the league system. After a few seasons when bronze league consists of bronze players etc and all the other leagues are populated the requirements for what you should know will drop ofc. (when it comes to playing in the bronze league).

But as it is now you are going to get flamed for the most part if you lack the knowledge, because there is still gold/diamond players in the bronze league and if you happen to come across a "pro" rager (mad cus bad on the most part) he/she will most likely blow of some steam in the chat. Which IMO is ******ed, when all you lose is 1 point of LP on your next win and some hidden ELO, but children will be children for the most part. Raging just leads to bad games and bad games are hard to win.

And ofc you should have the mechanical skills to pay the bills :P

Definitely stay up with the changes if you plan on playing ranked. There's a pretty big gap between asking what the tiers are or talking about troll junglers and ranked though. It's never a good sign when people do things like yell at the jungler for going to solo lane early or start without eye as a support.

I just wish there was a quick place to check for the meta changes. It really is a lot to expect everyone to keep up with.

That would help a ton!

Best thing ever is when you lose a FG because the Sobek thinks FOG is more important than HOG ("a pull, knock back, slow and a healing debuff isn't enough cc, got to get me that 1 min cd 1 sec stun before I can be useful in teamfights..").

all though ur points are fine and accurate, I generally manage pretty well, against zhomg kuis, apollos, hercs, posidens, hel, ra, and even cronos's, Yes they have better sustain, yes they have better clear, and yes fenrir is "squishy" but tank boots pots and smart play go a long way. I have either crushed these lanes due to my 1v1 skills and counter building (especially with the new brawler beatstick) its a matter of learning the match up and knowing how to punish, I have been playing fenrir since release and have legendary skin for him (not bragging just trying to show that my knowledge is somewhat credible) and the only issue I have had was against zeus (i didnt lose my tower but it was not a good outcome i must admit) generally the result boils down to A: I crush and devour the other player. or B: I do what I need to do to make the lane easy pickings for my jungler, resulting in him being very fed and me very safe.

Perhaps I should add that this is a solo vs solo situation, I do not claim to be able to 1v2 lanes, i haven't done it or plan on doing that, i'll leave that to herc XP

I don't mean he isn't VIABLE AT ALL, it just depends on your performance. Like I stated earlier, the meta is here to help, you can break it if you'd like, but it's situational.
