I agree, (for example, Aphrodite and Neith are kind of that even in lore), but there's not really variety past that. Name one under-average female god...there really isn't any. Male gods have SOME variety, but not much more than that (very few male gods aren't sexualized or over-the-top scary either, minus maybe Bacchus and Zhong Kui....then again, we're assuming humanoids. Fenrir's just a dog.)

But I've also argued, that that's how these gods are in lore. They represent the religions and worship that was attributed to them. People don't have ugly gods, for the most part. Their gods are the most badass, kickass, sexy, powerful gods ever - hence, gods. You want your pantheon leader to be a "weak *****" or someone who can stomp your enemies when you pray to them? Exactly.

I think they can make them look just as 'hot' and 'powerful' as possible, however, without sexualizing them. Chang'E is the perfect example - she was fine before, then they made her...well, whatever her card and new figure is now.

Just put some damn clothes on the gods. Make them warriors in a battle, not a whole world-of-warcraft style dressing where 'plate' armor is a metal bikini.

Yea. Honestly, I think high heels in completely unacceptable for any battle goddess (Ex. Athena)

No tits is not better than only tits, just like you said, variety is key.

I have nothing against them being half naked etc. In the lore most of them are naked so IDM, but the fact that all the goddesses are bombshells with huge tits (except poor ofc) is a bit sad :P

For me, it comes down to the lore. For godesses like aphro and freya, it's ok if they're half naked with huge boobs. That represents what they symbolize and how people saw them. Now, for goddesses like Artemis, Chang'e, and Athena, it DEFINITELY needs to be toned down a bit. I mean, Athena was supposed to be tactical in battle, and I get that the Russian skin is pretty cool, but her atmosphere and stuff makes here seem pretty stupid. Chang'e is supposed to be more elegant and refined, so I'm not a fan of her new loading card. It makes her too sexualized. Iunno, that's just me.

I have always been of the opinion that i would prefer to look at a hot chick then some muscular dude "seems a little gay to me lol". I think they should go all out on the sexy factor. Nothing wrong with a hot god.

It doesn't really phase me much. If the god or goddess is "over sexualized", but the skin looks good, then it's fine with me. If the skin doesn't look good, then that's a shame, but whatever. Honestly, the sex appeal of the characters I play in video games is one of the last things on my mind.

However, as people have been saying, a lot of the time, the gods and goddesses were seen in these kinds of portrayals. Obviously, the artwork for Smite has been updated a bit to showcase beauty and such in a bit of a more modern fashion (as in character models we find hot or cute), but these gods and goddesses were represented as beautiful and powerful ones. These just seem like more modern depictions of beautiful and powerful.

Do I want more variety as far as designs go? Sure, but then again, I don't really categorize as solely either, as you put it, "More variety" and "Tits", so I usually see plenty of variety when looking at the whole picture and not just looking at the video game characters' sex appeal.

I don't have a problem with gods/goddess being sexualized, its just that I think Hi-rez have gone too far. and are goddesses of beauty, making them ugly is as bad as making a with out Mjölner or a without a bird head.

BUT, nobody NOBODY can defended for making almost all of the goddesses look like strippers., and ) are some of the most respectable goddesses. waved the world and protected the humans, is married gave even sinners a seconded chance and saved the earth from Armageddon, but why do they wear so little cloths?
