Just curious what you guys/girls think was the best game released in 2013 and why.

If think you can guess what mine is...

Fine its Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

If you are a fan of action packed hard hack and slash I highly recommend you try it (There is a demo on Xbox live and it just got its Steam release)

I think BF4 had it's shot but the remaining bugs and connectivity issues ruined its running.

The pokemon generation made a LOT of improvements that I think scored it some big points. All-around innovations, a fix to overpowered Dragons, and more accessability to previously 'unique' pokemon that were nearly impossible to get.

Dead Space 3 left it's mark as a decent continuation of the series.

Aaaand obviously GTA was one of the highest selling games of the year with a very good replayability and fun factor. I believe it was only outbought by Ghosts, but as a CoD, that's just what CoD is. I think that's impressive.

I think it's Super Mario 3D World. Nintendo made some really cool releases last year. Even though I don't own a Wii U, the screenshots, gameplays, the reviews... I can say the game is amazing.


Now Pokemon X/Y. That game is revolutionary. If you play Pokemon since the Early Years, this is a must-buy, specially if you're a genwunner. The addition of the Fairy Types is a pain in the butt, but you'll get along with it as you advance in the game.


GTA V, of course. I've played it, and it's fun to create some havoc in the city( most people buy GTA to do that, eh).

I'm going with Gamespot here and agree with them and say Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. I'm too lazy to give an analysis of why though. It was just amazingly fun, and I absolutely loved it.

I still have not the opportunity to play it! I'll have to wait a few months to buy it. Sounds worth it!

To me it's Dead Space 3. Great Co-op survival, great replayability, just a very fun game. The problem: Origins....

I haven't played all of the big titles of 2013, sadly, such as GTA 5, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Pokemon X/Y, but I've played a few.

Like Raventhor said, BF4 may have taken the spot since I love the BF series, but it's just been plagued way too much to be deserving of even being in a top 3 favorites.

The two I think are most deserving of the ones I've played would have to be The Last of Us and BioShock Infinite, and since I have not beaten The Last of Us yet, I'm going to have to give it to BioShock Infinite. The gameplay wasn't perfect, but it was really good, and the story was awesome. If a story is good and has an ending that makes me go back and think and interpret what I believe happened, then it's probably a great story, and BioShock Infinite definitely had that.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
