Introduction

Hello guys, this is my third guide that I have posted. My previous guides are Anubis and Medusa. If anyone has read my previous guides, you know I stress feedback and criticism. To any new people reading my guide, please feel free to comment or criticize something you feel should be changed. I thank you all for choosing to read my guide and hope you enjoy. Also if there are any rookie mistakes let me know, this is the 1st guardian I ever really mastered.

Pros/Cons

Pros
1.A fortress
2.His Stone Shield can saves lives and you will get the love
3.He can escape quite often with Roll Out
4.His passive Hard as Rock makes crits do reduced damage
5.His abilities can create tactical situations such as Cataclysm and Roll Out

Cons
1.Like all guardians, his attack and abilities do little damage and needs someone to push with.
2.It's tough to get kills with his Geb than some other guardians. His abilities don't do much damage and really the kill you get are just from convenience if the enemy happens to be low enough to kill. Basically eliminate trying to get kills unless they're low.
3.If you fall behind with him, it will be quite irritating to catch up.

Items(Support)

Geb can be one of the best supports in the game if used right. I really only use Geb for support since he is really not meant for anything else. His damage and kill potential isn't high like some other guardians like Ares Cabrakan, but he can be a better support. This are my items that I think will do well and if you want you can always switch out some items for whatever you wish if you don't agree.

Shoes of Focus- CDR and Movement Speed increase is a must for a guardian.

Sovereignty-A must for all supports. This will produce an aura that increases HP5 and magical protections for all allies within your radius.

Heartward Amulet-Another MUST for support, it does vice versa of Sovereignty and increases allies MP5 and physical protections.

Mail of Renewal-I go with this because it gives me health, CDR and physical protections. Some may prefer to go with Breastplate of Valor as it has more protections and CDR, but I like having health more and the passive helps. So really it is up to you to decide which item to go with. Either way, CDR is the main component here so you can use Stone Shield more often.

Stone of Gaia- I like this to keep me sustained and able to support longer. Plus if the enemy team has more magical gods, then the magical protection really helps.

Ethereal Staff Lots of HP, gives us mana and 2% of health is added to magical power so WOO!.

Winged Blade- You can choose this as an alternative, it brings good hp, has CDR, MVT and ATK speed increase. Having more Movement speed can help you get to allies quicker and keep you mobile. This can be quite annoying to the enemy team because it takes ALOT to kill Geb only for him to be relatively quick and just get away. With this you increase your chances of living and you help your allies by being able to move around quicker.

Skills

The skills that Geb possesses are quite interesting and can create some tactical opportunities. One thing you have to eliminate from your mind when playing Geb is kills. To get kills with Geb is quite a chore, you cannot get kills like Ymir unless you take everyone's kill when their hp is low, but to kill someone in a full on battle with full health is basically impossible by yourself. When playing as Geb, it's about saving your teammate's life and keeping them alive to continue pushing forward while they do all the damage.

- Now this passive is what makes Geb a fortress. His passive allows crits to only do 25% of damage than the usual 100% of damage. Just by reading, you can gather that Geb will be great if you are facing hunters and assassins. Crits will be futile on Geb, but that doesn't mean you are immune to them. If they double or triple team you, they can still take you down.

- This ability is one those tactical and interesting abilities I mentioned earlier. You activate this and you start rolling and getting bigger as you roll. You can control the direction in which it goes and when you start glowing, the enemy hit sends them flying to a galaxy far far away. Now like I said, you can use this in a variety of ways. Just to damage someone, to chase someone :3, you can gank and knock enemies towards your teammates and with adept control into a tower and lastly my favorite use which pisses people off is to use it to escape ;) You are already a fortress and now you have this to escape? you know you are going to piss a few people off.

-This skill is pretty straightforward. You send a shock wave and damage enemies, but that's not all, it has a few uses attached to it. The closer you are the more damage you do to enemies, the further you are it's less damage. Plus when they are hit they get knocked up(not pregnant). You can use this to help delay the enemy if they are chasing your ally.

-Ok here I'm going to go into detail with this skill. This is what makes Geb Geb. When activated you can apply it to yourself or an ally. What it does it puts a shield around the chosen target and gives them extra health briefly. There are many uses to this item that it's just fun to use this skill. If you are low on health, you can save yourself. You can save an ally from being killed at the last moment. I have done this many times and you can feel the appreciation your teammates give you. Almost every time I save someone from literally a hit left, they always throw me a "thanks". Get good at timing this on allies and you will feel the love. Another use is when a tower is low and no minions are around, you can put this around you and tank the tower. Or if you are getting shot by the tower as you are leaving, you can activate it and suffer no damage.

-This is Geb's ult. When you use it, it deals magical damage dependent on their health and stuns everyone caught in the radius. You wouldn't really use this to secure a kill, but to set up and allow your ally to get the kills. If you can hunter pushing with you, you can use this to stun them and allow them to finish up the kills. If your ally happens to have a mic, you can coordinate with him to time your ult with his and deal great damage if timed correctly. I have a friend that mains Hou Yi, I stun them and he uses Sunbreaker while they are stunned. The combinations with gods are limitless with this.

"The fortress that escapes"

As with my other guides, I posted escaping tactics if you are ever cornered. Now Geb is a guardian which means his defense and health are through the roof and usually guardians don't have means of escape unless they use actives. With Geb and with my methods of escapes, you will never die. The only way for you to die is if the entire team focuses on you only by doing all their ults and abilities. Even then if you time the abilities well, you can still escape multiple attacker ulting you. I have had countless encounters where literally 3 gods are doing everything in their power to kill me, using ults, abilities, and I STILL get away. Nothing brings me a smile to my face in this game more than seeing 3 ults being used and hefty amount of basic attacks and abilities focused solely on me to still get away. I can just imagine the people cursing at how they did everything and nothing happened. There have been times where I can use the laugh emote repeatedly while being attacked and still get away, great way to troll ;) ok onto the methods.

- You can use this to get away from enemies since the distance it travels before giving out is quite far. You can almost always escape if you are facing one god, maybe 2. This is the most basic method to escape as it requires is on ability.

- Use this method when being attacked by two gods or more, or if you are about to die and are being chased. You activate [stone shield]] first to give you the extra health and then you hit the Roll Out so while you are rolling, you also have the shield around in the event it gets canceled.

-Now this is the ultimate form of escaping that will definitely piss people off if you get away. This is your last resort method if the chaos of triple or quad teaming happens. Only use this if like 3 or more gods are all attacking you at once. This is where they will use ults and everything in their power to kill you and it used right, their everything will be for nothing. Ok this is how it goes, you need to do it a bit of positioning and timing for it to work successfully. When being attacked from 3 gods or more, you use Cataclysm first, but don't just use it impulsively. When you press the button without activating it, it will show the radius and this is where positioning will come in. Try your best and without wasting too much time and position yourself where you can get all the gods attacking you or at least the majority of them in your Cataclysm radius. When timed correctly, all the gods will be stunned for a moment. You will use this opportunity to quickly activate Stone Shield and Roll Out in that very order and you get away and go into the jungle, or you go towards your team. I guarantee you will smile when you first pull this combo off on like 3 or more gods attacking you and you get away.

Creeping / Jungling

Well it sounds funny to hear Geb jungling. He can actually be a decent gank if used correctly. You can help a teammate about to die by putting on Stone Shield around him. Also you can sneak up on an enemy god pushing and with Roll Out push the targeted god into your tower to get damaged. Another method is you can gank by using Cataclysm to stun the gods for your team to finish off or at least damage the **** out of.

Team Work

This is integral to Geb. This is what makes the difference between a great Geb and a normal average Geb. You are a guardian which means you are pushing with hunter most likely to make up for your low attack damage. You are the shield and the hunter is the sword that you support to push forward. The hunter getting kills and pushing will be determined by how well you play as Geb and how good you time your Stone Shield.

With Geb you are a great team presence. With Geb you have reduced crits damage being done to you which keeps alive longer to support your teammate. When he is about to die, you must Stone Shield successfully to keep him alive and receive that love. By keeping them alive and constantly attacking minions and killing gods, this will allow them to build quicker and have that op damage. You can Cataclysm to combine abilities or ults with your teammate. Every thing you do with Geb has to have a purpose behind it to support. Every Stone Shield Cataclysm must be used correctly to ensure great support. Time it well, know when to use them and when not use them. The worst thing is using a [stone shield]] too early and seeing your teammate really low on health and knowing you can't save them. In the event that you have Stone Shield on cooldown and your teammate is about to die AND being chased. You can use Shock Wave to knock them up and cause a quick delay to help your teammate get a few steps ahead or you can Cataclysm Shock Wave combo as a last resort if you know the Shock Wave won't be enough.

No it's not limited to conquest. I usually use this build for Siege. I don't use all of these items here when I play conquest, mostly when I play Siege I incorporate these items. Moonsyne thanks for the feedback I do appreciate it the lengthy report. The guide isn't finished though, I know still need to add a few details to a few sections. I'll be adding some actives and a bit more details to the shock wave. True about the Shock Wave, I honestly do that combo you spoke of, but I just never included it here :( Ok I can do away with Rod of Asclepius

You asked for general criticism, so here it comes. Good job working on the guide! I've been meaning to getting around to making guides for gods to help keep smitefire alive, so thank you for helping with that.

Moving on to your builds, I agree with WalrusLyfe that your build isn't the best, although your reasoning behind each item makes some degree of sense, although others seem out of the blue. Rushing Breastplate of Valor has become a more powerful option since it got cheaper, but still provides that chunk of Physical Protections, Mana, and CDR, which helps you support better. After buying that though, going for more traditional support items and/or boots would be best. For example, Shoes of Focus would allow you to hit your CDR cap and use Stone Shield more often, Shock Wave to create openings, etc. On top of adding needed movement speed. Traveler's Boots would also allow you to be a better roaming Support, and like you mentioned later in your guide, set up kills for your teammates.

Sovereignty and it's sister item Heartward Amulet are key items on any support, and should be built. Both give you a chunk of protections, health, and help your ADC early game and Team late game with some extra protections.

With Heartward Amulet built, you have less need for Stone of Gaia, Bulwark of Hope, or Pestilence. On top of that, building so heavily your magical protections will allow the enemy ADC/Hunter to destroy you and get you out of the fight. Stone is the best out of the three for sustain, and you shouldn't need the other two, unless your team wants to shut down healing with Brawler's Beatstick and Divine Ruin.

Rod of Asclepius simply isn't needed on Geb. He has no direct way to heal anyone, since the shield just adds temporary health. It's better on mages for the power and movement speed on top of increasing their ability based heals. Geb doesn't need any of those, especially since only two of his abilities scale with power, and not even that well. On that note, Ethereal Staff isn't a horrible purchase due to the chunk of health, mana, and the passive, and I've done it before to help shore up my teammates damage, but I wouldn't always buy it. It's a good option to know of though.

You still need an actives section, in which I'd recommend Purification Beads as they will save any God's life, especially the meat shield. From there, you would most likely want Creeping Curse to shut down enemy heals and secure kills, although Greater Aegis works as another way to survive through CC and burstier gods. Blink also works well in the same way it does with Ymir, allowing you to ult for a stun, and then knock them up with 2, hopefully enough time to do serious damage and get kills.

While I'm on the topic, you should add that to your ability details as well. You covered them nicely, but Shock Wave is a great way to secure kills. Knocking the enemy up not only prevents them from pursuing, but also fleeing, attacking, ANYTHING! Using Roll Out to initiate while roaming, you can knock enemies toward allies, and then use Shock Wave to prevent them from fighting back or leaving. Depending on how high they are on health, using your ult in addition or replacement is your call. Although it's nice to save it, it's better to use it and get the kill then to just force them out of lane or die yourself.

Another strong tip to add to your section on Stone Shield is that it CLEANSES ALLIES OF CC! Trouble with Anubis, Khepri, Nox, and other sources of dumb stuns/silences/roots? Call in the walking fortress!

What game mode is this meant for? If its conquest the build is pretty bad.
