Hello there and welcome to my Season 2 Guide for
Pros: + High Self Sustain with Rain Dance. + Good Clear & Poke with Thunder Strike. + High Mana Sustain with his passive Overflow. + Unique Kit Interactions with his Thunder Strike granting him either a escape teleport dash when used with Torrent or a AoE slow if used with Rain Dance additionally his ultimate can gain a knock up if used near the Axe left from Thunder Strike. + Good Team Fight Presence with Storm Call. + Is Naturally Tanky. + can obtain bonus protections with Torrent. + can move over walls with his Thunder Strike + Torrent combo. + Takes Half Damage from all sources while channeling his Storm Call |
|
Cons: - Depends on itemization to become effective. - Requires good game knowledge in terms of mechanics,gods,ect... - Requires Good Judgement on when and how to go in. - Does not Automatically win his fights he needs to poke heal up and exchange/trade blows tactically to benefit the most with his kit. - Weak vs Strong lvl 1 push due to lack of amazing lvl 1 - 4 clear. - his escape uses a combo of Thunder Strike + Torrent to teleport him to the Axe left behind by his Thunder Strike making it partially predictable. - Has Trouble Dealing with gods that can reduce his protections such as Nemesis or gods that can reduce his healing while poking him back such as Chang'e but that last one is only valid on a experienced Chang'e players |
Here I will Talk About the kit some Mechanics and give some tips:
Overflow(~) This is our Passive Ability after 5 Successful Basic Attacks Our Next Spell Cast is Free(aka will not cost mana). |
Thunder Strike (1) This is our our Main Lane Clear & Poke Ability we throw a Axe Towards the targeted AoE it then Deals Damage and Leaves a Axe in the area which can function with our other 3 spells for various bonus Effects we can teleport dash to it with Torrent make a AoE slow with Rain Dance or power up our Storm Call with bonus damage and a mini knock up. |
Torrent (2) We Spin our axe Around Our Body dealing Damage and gaining Bonus Protections in case there was a axe from Thunder Strike on the ground before we cast this ability we will first Teleport dash(a Dash that goes through walls) to the axe then spin it. |
Storm Call (4) This is Our Ultimate and it just so happens to be the stuff of nightmares for mages capable of not just silencing them for 3 whole sec in a team fight but can also let you withstand there damage or potential damage by taking 50% less damage and turning CC immune then suprise initiating through enemy CC such as Spirit Ball or No Escape in addition to that it also deals decent damage... |
Transcendence This item will grant us great physical power bonus damage and healing to our spells it also means we more or less never run out of mana which in return means we dont run out of Rain Dance which means we can heal a ton and often. |
warrior tabi Afterwards we get these for more power scaling and movement speed.... |
hide of the urchin we get this to start getting tanky this is ideal for us as we want to deal against both magicals and physicals.... |
Jotunn's wrath this grants us some fine CDR and power makes us really hurt and the pen is always good. |
Spirit Robe We get this to max our CDR and gain more protections. |
Runeforged hammer This gives us a lot of physical protections some HP and power its all a great addition to us.... |
Bulwark of Hope in case mages are more of a problem we can get this instead of Runeforged Hammer. |
runeforged hammer This item grants us Health physical protections and converts protections to power. |
Stone of Gaia In Case were playing vs a magic heavy team or need to deal with a magic solo laner + jungler this item is rushed for its amazing sustain and protections values a Chaac with this + Rain Dance you can regenerate 50% of your HP bar per dance... |
Ninja Tabi These are the Shoes we go for if were going for a AA based Warrior. |
Qin's Sais This here is our bread and butter item since were planning to stay in the face of the enemy god and punch them a lot this item adds a chunk of there max HP as additional Damage. |
hide of the urchin at this point we want to get more tanky in and this item does the job well giving us more protections both physical and magical combined with Runeforged Hammer and/or Stone of Gaia you can be pretty resistant to physical or magical damage. |
frostbound hammer this item can often force out sprint or Cleaning effects when caught out it also makes you stick like blue with Rain Dance and de-buffs attack speed its just amazing. |
Bulwark of hope Our Final Item is Honestly a item of preference i like Bulwark of Hope for its life saving passive and high HP and protection values you can also get any other protection item of choice as needed. |
Warrior tabi As a Jungler we need to Rotate the most we possibly can while bringing as much pain as we can for this we take Warrior Tabi. |
Jotunn's Wrath As a Jungler the more often we can efficiently gank and deal damage the batter with this item we gain great power CDR pen and Mana hence why were getting it. |
Shifter's Shield This item grants us both power and protections if it seems that im the follow up initiation this item grants us some good damage with a few attacks and combos though this is Personal Preference so feel free to switch out the item for anything you might Prefer perhaps a Witchblade or Winged Blade or magi's blessing! |
Runeforged Hammer once more a item of Personal Preference grants us protection and tankyness it honestly depends on your play style. |
Bulwark of hope like the above this is a item of personal preference that replaces Runeforged Hammer if the enemy team is more magical damage oriented. |
Stone Of Gaia The Mid Laner Mage will be give or take driver to insanity by the superior sustain you have with this and you can usually poke them out of lane. |
Hide Of the Urchin We Always Transition into a Tank in the late game and thats the reason we get this for its hybrid protections. |
RuneForged Hammer we get this for its physical protection values and protection to power conversion add to that its overall cheap price and we have a winner... |
Bulwark of Hope in case the enemy team is a magical One we get this bad boy to start taking some ultimates in the face making a evil grin and then Healing back to full. |
MidGardian Mail This item we get in case of Physical AA based gods or Physical Based teams additionally i am not 100% positive on this but from what i can tell the slow and attack speed de-buff from this seems to stack with Frostbound Hammer and its own de-buffs which should not be happening from what i understand. So That May Be A Bug. |
Frostbound Hammer Item Of Preference i just like this item on Chaac in most scenarios can be replaced by almost any other item of preference. |
Warrior Tabi We Should usually Always go for these but in some cases we can get Talaria Boots for there greater movement speed and HP5 this is usually the case when the enemy has much faster rotations then you do. |
Sovereignty pretty much one of the basic support items the aura helps the team and you like the HP and protections. |
magi's blessing |
Magi's Blessing This item grants us protection vs 1 hard CC every 45 sec grants some protections and a good chunk of HP this item is great on Chaac as it becomes harder to stop you from running in and using Storm Call. |
Runeforged hammer in case of physical teams or threats this item is a great pick up giving you a great boost to both protections HP and a slight boost to power. |
Pestilence in case of magical teams you get this instead of Runeforged Hammer it grants us a healing reduction Aura some bonus HP and magic Protections. |
When Trading AA with a Enemy God You Want To Hit 2 AA the 1 and 0.5 Hit ChainThen Cast Thunder Strike to Reset The Chain! You then use 2 More AA Then Can Use Torrentto reset the chain Again!this allows you to perform a 1/0.5/ - 1/0.5/ - 1/0.5/1.5 hit Chain Early Game When you have just around 1.02 Attack Speed Means the 0.5 scale makes the attack come at 1.5 attack speed while the 1.5 scale makes it come a 0.5 Attack Speed
This Means that we can put in around 3/4 more Auto Attacks in Then They do!
Disadvantages: - Weak Early clear pre lvl 5 - Does not Deal well with gods that can Sustain or deal with his Poke - Does not like Bakasura due to his true damage he has a good chance of killing us trades need to be carefully executed - Requires some amount of skill and experience to be played to full maximum efficiency - All Fights Need to be Properly Planned and discussed with the team aka he requires good coordination - Hates Healing Reduction Effects such as Divine Ruin and Belch of the Gods |
|
Advantages: + Strong Sustain can deal with Poke Gods + Can Trade well against most match ups as long as the kit is taken full advantage off + Does not Possess Many True Weak Points and can thus play in a very wide range of styles + naturally tanky + Possess a good AA chain 1/0.5/1.5x damage and speed scaling + Storm Call can counter various Ultimates such as im a monster Release The Kraken! and Searing Pain are just a few of the many ults Chaac can withstand with his Storm Call |
Disadvantages: - Camp Clear is a bit slow early on but its not the worst - Ganks Require good coordination with the ganked lane - You dont possess very good burst in the early game and its hard to burst mid game as well overall you are more of a defensive jungler that helps in fights and steals camps nice and fast if he can make it |
|
Advantages: + Strong Sustain in both Mana and HP you pretty much never run out of HP or Mana in the jungle Overflow is simple to trigger and Rain Dance at rank 1 is pretty much all the damage those camps can do to you... + due to above sustain you can carry Ward's instead of Healing Potion's giving your team a much batter amount of Vision you can also Sentry Ward taking away enemy vision this is the most bothersome thing to deal with when facing jungle Chaac it feels like he can SEE EVERYTHING and indeed he does along with his whole team! + Great Teamfight Presence at a Early GF if the mages dont have beads they might have a lot of trouble contesting/winning there fights! |
Disadvantages: - With 2 Enemy gods Fighting him Rain Dance wont sustain as much - does not possess hard CC on a normal spell thus he is not good at initiating - due to low burst early on he will have a harder time through the game since all supports fall behind in gold due to all the rotations and team actives there getting to get there team ahead a Chaac thats behind is not a happy one so be careful to not die on many occasions! |
|
Advantages: + His Poke can be Really Tormenting on gods such as Artemis Ah Muzen Cab and similar squishy low sustain gods through the early game color=#00ff00]+ can quickly secure mid camps over walls with his Thunder Strike + Torrent + Hand of the Gods combo color=#00ff00]+ can sustain him self mid rotation with Rain Dance color=#00ff00]+ Thunder Strike + Rain Dance makes a great presence at mid game gold fury Attempts! |
Overall Chaac is a Great God To play and has many potential builds going much over the 5 i went over in this guide he can bring a lot to teamfights and is the bane of mages he can sustain him self through fights and rotations and can secure camps nice and easy his ultimate can withstand and reduce incoming damage and he can also create a giant AoE Slow / Teleport though walls and ect...
Thus If Your Looking For a God That Is Very Versatile Chaac Should be In Your List.
