To start (in Arena), I get Combat Boots and
Light Blade

Hey everybody!
This build has been tested by myself and others in the community so it's now officially "out of beta"!
Check out the Patch Notes below to see what's new.
Replaced Poisoned Star with
Rage at the suggestion of the community.
Rage has quickly become my favorite early game crit item and seems many others agree.
Moved Poisoned Star into position as an alternative item for Wind Demon. The point was made that with
Artemis already being so CC heavy (not to mention LITERALLY EVERY OTHER GOD also being CC heavy feels like), she maybe didn't need the help from
Poisoned Star all that much.
Made Bloodforge the last item as it was deemed less important than the others for this build.
Replaced Ninja Tabi with
Warrior Tabi for extra early game power. It was agreed upon that
Artemis was already mighty fine as far as attack speed went.
Added Qin's Sais as an alternate item for probably
Poisoned Star in the case that you need to face a team with giant health bars.
Ninja Tabi was chosen over
Warrior Tabi for superior attack speed. The majority of Artemis' damage comes from her basic attacks, and the extra attack speed early game really helps her stay competent as she builds her crit chance.
Poisoned Star was chosen for what I would hope are obvious reasons.
Artemis's passive,
Still Target, means she does more damage to Gods affected by specific types of crowd control. This includes slows. If I'm already building critical strike chance, I might as well get to take advantage of my passive after every critical strike.
I put it so early in the build to get this effect as soon as possible.
The Executioner is a no-brainer for an AA-focused hunter. Extra attack speed and it tears through protections remarkably well. Additionally, the first item in its tree is cheap enough to be purchased at the start of the game along with
Combat Boots so you can start building it right away.
Wind Demon is one I'm on the fence about. I chose it over Rage due to the attack speed, but I'm not 100% sure that was the right decision. Tests have shown Wind Demon is ever so slightly better, but my tests may not have been accurate. YMMV.
Bloodforge was chosen for its strong passive that helps a glass cannon (such as
Artemis) escape from battle after diving to finish someone off. Additionally, it lends a massive amount of raw physical power without needing to be stacked at all.
Lastly, I chose Deathbringer to finish out the crit side of the build with something strong. Further cementing her as an AA demon.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

Great work!
The poison star, wind demon, deathbringer combo you had was fine. Anyway, +1

In all honesty,
The build as it gets deeper into the game is perfectly fine, of course.
But that's probably how it's got to be. The thing I'd like to see is trying to smooth out that early power / DPS curve. Here would be my concept.
Exe and Star are probably interchangeable, but with teamfight modes, the protection reduction will help out your physical teammates, and the higher AS is also appreciated, so I would probably prioritize it. It'll also give you time to stack Rage.
Star can even be delayed depending on how you feel.
As a consideration, I know the concept is to get Star so you can "milk dat passive," but there's so much CC in the game, that she probably doesn't need to rely on it in a teamfight mode to get her bonus damage. She has her stun and trap, and teammates are likely to apply all types of CC. So...I'm feeling Star can be delayed until later. Also, she may have to switch targets often. This isn't a situation where she'll be boxing an enemy ADC in lane.
And of course, you can pick up
I should be playing tonight and I'm going to experiment a bit more with her if I get the opportunity.
Honestly liked a Rage rush with an early

Also that player damage was pitiful.
Or at least make the main point about your success with
That being said, it would be nice to hear some actual feedback on how the build felt, etc..
Yea i was leading up to my success with the build.
Anyway, build is solid. Just get warrior tabi because you have a large attack speed steroid in your 2. I agree with gulf on this one.
As others have commented, there are preferences. Ideas of getting
I like two build directions, and either would be fine. It goes with balancing attack speed.
In your build, I agree there's a bit too much attack speed, so that you're overcapping quite a bit when you've got
So in your base build, the suggestion others have had to get
The alternative would shift things just slightly, and we'd see a slightly lower base AS (not including the WD passive being active), but a much higher crit chance. It's also a bit cheaper.
What do you think about getting wind demon before
And as for
1) its expensive
2) in arena, just go back to base if you need to regen. You're pretty weak at those low levels, so will you really get that much out of the lifesteal?
On the flip side, I can see it useful for some early kill streaks.
Your thoughts?
I'm ok with it second item, for all the reasons you mentioned.
However, because
So, yes, it can put a slight damper on your DPS, but your sustain while fighting gets a nice increase. I want to also clarify that I've only experimented with this in Conquest (hence
Why isn't
Art used to be a very crit focused god, but with her passive rework, she also excels using
I'm pretty sure Kriega will be by shortly to tell us both how wrong we are, but I think you have a good start, Case. I'm interested to see where you go with this in the future.
