Swap Breastplate of Valor for
Spirit Robe in the Late Game.
What's going on, guys, Stuke here again for another guide continuing my Warrior Series. In this guide, I will teach you what you need to know about playing the god of healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, battle, sorcery, poetry, frenzy, and the alphabet. Or known as Odin, the Allfather.
Note: you don't have to follow this guide to the smallest detail. These are suggestions on how to play Odin. Please see the comment section below and other tips.
Whenever any other god dies, Odin gains a movement and damage boost for a short duration. Any additional deaths will give Odin a new stack and refresh the duration of the passive. Quite an interesting passive, but I assume this was to mitigate Odin's lack of power in the Late Game once the team fights start happening. |
Odin leaps at a target location and deals damage in an area upon landing. That's it. While simple on face value, primarily due to him being the first 20 gods in the game, it's when combined with his other ability that it starts to shine. |
Upon activation, Odin gains a health shield that, after a short duration, explodes, dealing damage in a short radius around him, but that's not all. If you use ![]() |
Are you ready for a lengthy write-up because it's about to get long? Upon activation, Odin takes up a throwing position becoming immune to knock-ups while in this stance. While in this position, Odin releases a pulse that damages and slows all enemy gods close to him up to three times. When fired, the projectile will travel forward until it hits an enemy god, making this Odin's lane clear. For each pulse, Odin cycles through magic runes that provide different effects. Depending on which rune you land on, that can also buff or crowd control.
|
This ability is Odin's primary source of control. Upon activation, Odin creates an octagon (still called a ring) of spears around an area. Enemy gods caught in the ring will have their healing reduced to 0. Any enemy god that dies in the spear gives Odin a stack of physical damage for each enemy killed. The only downside of this is that enemies with leaps can pass through the walls or have the ![]()
|
In conclusion, Odin can be a serious powerhouse. If fed throughout the Early Game and combined with his Crowd Control with his Ring of Spears can make him a threat if dealt with slowly or suffer from a snowballing Odin. So, take these tips into battle and show glory to the Allfather.

For comparison to your build to the pro/meta build for Odin:
Also
Other than that the only things are firstly, I would advise against for Odin is
Secondly, I would suggest trying out levelling Odin's 3 before his 1 (2 > 3 > 1 > 4). Once you have your 2 at rank 4 or 5, you can full clear a wave in Solo so putting points into your 1 makes the damage its gaining kind of redundant? Maxing the 3 after allows you to full clear with bird bomb and poke with 3 harder. Also once you're levelling the 3 you will likely have
Last touches are just to add situational items of
Nice work overall as usual though!
I will maintain that I feel
Earlier items are standard and seem fine.
I don't like
I don't know if it truly is only knockbacks, but the writeup for his 3 is immunity to knockbacks, not knockups as you have written.

I still believe their code is wonky though, or their writing.
Plenty of health from pestilence and midgardian, so I'd say spirit robe is an acceptable sub.
Relic dagger is a nice substitute too if you want to spam blink rune + ult
Any build update after patch 3.12 ?
I've been mostly using the Solo/Mid setup for a bruiser in joust with Hide replaced with Frostbound depending on enemy comp. aptly named JumpRekt Inc.
Just curious, why Shifters as the final item for your Jungler setup?
Power and Protection and an increase to either depending on how much health you have.
