Pros:
High damage late game
High sustain with infinite mana
A passive that helps against certain enemy items
An ult that is an escape/one shot
Can escape almost every team fight if needed
Cons:
Very squishy god, even late game.
Is very eligible to dying once Sentinel is used
Sic' em can go right under gods that are being knocked up
Once every skill is on cooldown, escaping is almost impossible.
Ulting causes her to become a bigger target, good escape in speed, bad escape in being hit.
To master Scylla, one must know the combo. There are quite a few to know, all with great potential in getting that kill.
When it comes to Arena, starter items are not necessarily needed. You can go right ahead and buy Warlock's Sash and shoes. Some people might think it's weird, but getting stacks in that game mode is easier than it looks, call out, "I'm building stacks" and people will most likely let you have them. There are a LOT of minions in that game mode, and you won't have trouble gaining them.
However if you decide you want to go the build Gem of Isolation
, buying a starter would be a good choice. The passive on the Gem of Isolation is great when it comes to constant team fights, helping your team the entire time you have it. This item tortures players with no escapes such as Artemis or Anubis in this gamemode!
For Joust, Do not get soul stone or any other starter item. Like the arena choices, get shoes and start on your Warlock's/Book of Thoth. Play like you normally do, and gain those stacks as soon as possible!
For Siege there will only be one ally in your lane so getting those minions will be easy. Make sure you gain those camps whenever they're up, they'll help get that juggernaut, which will help push the towers. Getting a starter item is optional, but I would prefer to get Soul Stone.
For a 1v1, Scylla is one of the better mages for the job. When you start, buy the items above, then continue as normal. Try and steal the enemy blue buff if they don't arrive in lane, unless they're at the damage buff. If the enemy notices you, they'll most likely stop attacking their buff and go for you in a defensive way, so try to be sneaky.
Try and stay back near your tower, you are not strong enough to do anything serious. Continue game play and get stacks on the Warlock's, once it's at half stacks you can start to aggress a little harder. If you get killed, don't worry. Scylla is a late game god, and all her power comes to her eventually.
For Scylla, early aggression can be achieved by having enough power to beat your enemy out of lane, by either killing them or forcing them back to base.
Upgrading your Crush first is the way to start any Conquest. Upgrading this first will allow you to have lane clear and a safer play. After clearing the first wave of minions, join your team to collect the red buff and return back to lane. Join your Jungler to collect the left harpies, keep your crush on the floor just in case the enemy mid laner tries to steal them. After clearing the next wave of minions, check if the right harpies are still alive, if not, return back to lane and kill the minions. The goal is to completely level up crush, then sic' em, and divide the levels between your ult and your Sentinel.
For the second upgrade on abilities, it depends on whether or not you feel safe in lane. For example, if the enemy mid laner is another Scylla, you might want to upgrade your sentinel to escape her crush or agress. If you feel safe enough to live for another level, you can upgrade your Sic' em to root the enemy mid laner and crush afterwards.
In my opinion, using Sic' em for lane clear is not a good idea, it uses up mana and is not strong enough to do any real damage to one specific minion.
On the first recall, update the warlock's/start warlock's sash and buy the chalice for wards, or, the Chalice of the Oracal if you can. Return back to mid. If your jungler has not already, collect the bottom left harpies if wanted. If the speed buff is back up, help your jungler collect it, and return to lane. If you choose to, you can go to the the bottom right harpies as well. Having your jungler to help you collect those harpies is even better.
When getting the mid harpies, put your Crush on the ground and do not activate it instantly, keep it there until you know they won't be stolen by the enemy mid laner. Afterwards return back to mid lane and do the same for the right harpies if they are not already gone.
There are many enemy gods that can be your competition. It's time to know how to fight them in the best way possible.
God: Poseidon
When it comes to warding, knowing where is very important to stop your fellow teammates from getting ganked. Since Scylla does not need health/mana potions, she can instead buy the Chalice of the Oracle, which will make it so much easier to ward your lanes. One of the pros of buying this means never having to remember to buy wards, however they are not Sentry wards, so be careful in choosing whether or not you want to buy a sentry along with it.
When warding, you ward the lane that leads to the ADC and the SUPP (right/left). The jungler should be able to ward the other lanes. Calling out "Enemies incoming" (VI3,Enemies incoming right, VI2, enemies incoming middle, VI1,enemies incoming left VII, enemies incoming) will help prevent ganks as well.
In Joust, warding can help prevent the enemy from claiming the FG (Fire Giant), Buy two wards, or one sentry and one ward, or the chalice. Put the wards in the left jungle by the entrance to the FG. If you choose too, you can also place the ward in the DMG camp or in the middle of the lane.
Everyone wants to have a great early game, but to do this you need the right items to start with.
Building Soul Stone
first is something I always get for Conquest. Now that it has been buffed, it's an even better start for Scylla and many other mages as well. When clearing a minion wave, hit the minions five times before using Crush, if you have Sic 'Em, try to root the enemy Mid laner and then Crush the minions along with the Enemy.
Warlock's Sash Warlock's Sash is a safe but powerful item to buy for Scylla. It gives health, mana, and the more stacks you have the stronger everything becomes. Buying this first and gaining stacks as fast as possible will make a great early game aggressor since you won't be as squishy to other gods who try to gank you.
However, if you're not confident with the ability to stay alive before Warlocks, instead of Soul Stone you can buy Vampiric Shroud
. Killing the minions will restore health and mana and give you +100 hp for early sustain. You can choose to buy shoes or start warlocks if wanted to. Buying shoes first will give extra movement speed and early power.
Buying Defense items is really only needed if you keep dying to a certain god or are an extremely low lvl compared to the enemy. Depending whether or not that certain god is physical or magical depends on what defense you need to buy. If you die to lets say, a He Bo or Loki, buying the Stone of Fal will protect you from the one shots. You can also get the Breastplate of Valor to protect against Physical gods only, however the Stone of Fal gives both Physical and Magical, so it depends on what you think is better. REMEMBER Defense will lower your power scaling! And the one shot potential might just not be there anymore if you do buy more than one defense or are just a very low lvl. Remember when Scylla says, "I don't wanna wear it!" when you buy defence, you might just want to listen to her and sell it back.
If you wish for more penetration than lifesteal, you can replace Pythagoreans Piece for Spear of Desolation. It will give you more pen, CDR, and 20% penetration.
The book of Thoth
is a very powerful item, it does cost less than the Warlock's Sash and gives different buffs, and it's better if you want more damage than health. Since Scylla has a LOT of mana, the passive on this item is great. playing with this item can be risky for newer players who do not know positioning or just how squishy mages are in general, although it's just as good an item.
Now, let's talk about another item. The item
Ethereal staff Is a late game item. The way its passive works is perfect for Scylla's ult, mostly because it DOES NOT go on cooldown when you smack down and get a kill, mostly because your Ult did not finish yet, so the passive stays until your ult is over. This means that killing Guardians and Warriors won't be as hard, and the squishies like the enemy mid laner and the ADC will also fall much easier. You want to make sure the passive is up before you use your ult!
If you do not want to stick with this item, you can change it to the
Spear of desolation. This passive will work also, and it gives pen, so swapping is not a bad choice.
I hope you enjoyed the guide! I would love to hear your opinions on items and how you play Scylla, any ideas are great ideas! Please leave a thumbs up or up vote, it does help! Game on!

I have no chance in the contest :'D
If you don't feel like going through it, here is a smaller version for alternatives to your two main colors:
Thought I'd comment, hope you don't mind.
Sands of time is a starter that I would prefer if you want to stay in lane longer. Ever since they made Scylla's Crush take more mana to use, she can run out quickly! It really depends on what you think.
Yes, I was thinking about updating a lot on this, mostly because I did so much so fast, I didn't have a lot of time to make them very detailed.
I do know that some things here are misspelled, mostly because the text font is hard to read for me and I cannot really tell whether it's an m or an n. I also just called it Aegis for short.
For my item choices, this guide is still in the process of being complete, since I have schooling and daily things in life I have to get done, it will take some time...
(And yes, I just chose the default colors. Sorry for that ^.^,)
In the end this whole guide is an OPINION, I don't want to tell anyone what is the right or wrong way to play Scylla since anything could work as long as you try.
However, I would recommend against defense on scylla in general. Shes a burst mage, if you want someone slightly frontline, then pick an assassin or warrior instead. Only going 4 damage or 5 damage items really hurts her damage in general.
Warlocks is definitely still a good item though.
