This is probably the worst item in the game.

Poor passive, lackluster stats, overpriced garbage. At least Divine Ruin has some use. Why would you ever pick this item when Jotunn's Wrath is a cheaper, better version with a useful passive?

We're talking about 82 damage at level 20. Worst item NA.

It works on Loki at least, although you never take it instead of Jotunn's Wrath, you take them both.

What Loki gains from it is a big chunk of physical power (which is great as the rest of his build should max penetration) and combined with the aforementioned blue mace it also allows him to max out CDR and so have that very important ult up as often as possible. Loki is also pretty much guaranteed to hit with the extra damage, and although it is low and I'm not sure if it even gets increased by his baclkstab bonus, it's still there and has given me the final little bit of burst required to finish someone on about two occasions. Basically, it's expensive but Loki can make use of it and there aren't really many other items I feel like I want in its place.

For reference, my Loki build, in no particular order, goes Warrior Tabi, Heartseeker, Titan's Bane, Hydra's Lament, Jotunn's Wrath and Focused Voidblade.

What god are you using to get 82 damage at level 20? That's really low, and doesn't sound right. I know Loki has 38 base damage, +2.4 per level (including +2.4 at level 1), giving a total 86 physical power (ALREADY surpassing the 82 you have). Add in the 125% scaling, and it's 107.5 damage, for free, on a passive. This means whatever god you're getting 82 on, is probably someone who shouldn't build it.

This item is amazing for assassins and some bruisers, who want a burst of damage, and are NOT built for sustain damage. Examples would include Tyr, Loki, Fenrir, Ne Zha, and Kali, all who are AD casters who can easily weave in or incorporate auto attacks into their skill rotation. The CDR, Physical Power (which is, by the way, equivalent to Deathbringer) and passive are amazing to synergize with.

My personal Loki build is Warrior Tabi, Deathbringer, Hydra's Lament, Executioner, Rage, and either Heartseeker is kept if doing well, or Qin's Blades // Frostbound Hammer if not doing as well. Jotunn's Wrath and Titan's Bane are other options.

Although you didn't mention Loki, he's the one who benefits most from it, so I figure I'd mention him in detail. Hydra's definitely is nowhere near garbage, it just requires very specific god types.

You do know its ADDITIONAL damage right? And where on earth did you get 82?? You are more than doubling the damage on your next basic, which means you may be correct if the user is a mage or tank, but mages (and Athena) have Polynomicon. Tanks shouldn't really worry about either. Maybe a bit pricy, but I am sure some can outright abuse it, like He Bo and Poly.

No, you don't double your basic attack damage. You only add 125% of your base physical power, IE the physical power you have before you take items into account. So all that power you get from your items, including the Hydra's itself, don't increase the damage from the Hydra's passive at all.

As an aside, I feel this item is a tad too expensive. Even on Loki, I only get it because I don't really use any other expensive items (save for mandatory Focused Voidblade) due to ditching stuff like Deathbringer and Rage (which I frankly find to be out of place on Loki). I think it should have its price reduced somewhat, although not by much. It is pretty powerful after all.

Sirsir94, don't insult my intelligence, or if you must, do it while not insulting yourself in the process.

I kinda got the number 82 burned into my mind after reaching level 20 with Thanatos lane in a conquest match. I finished Hydra's Lament, and immediately used it on a roman, not sure which. 82 damage. Tested it again, 82 damage. I immediately went back to spawn and sold it for the Deathbringer, and proceeded to do well.

Of course that may have been due to minion mechanics, but my point still stands.

Raventhor... *sighs* not again.

Have you done any testing on this? The damage for Hydra's isn't simply added to the overall damage, it's reduced separately from the damage of the main basic attack. Thanatos, level 20, on practice Ra, with no other item except the HL, deals far less than 103 damage. He deals freaking 65 damage! 65! And that's on a naked Ra with no items!

With 15 flat penetration, he deals 83 damage. Woohoo, 83 damage. At that point, why not just buy the Executioner for the defense shred? Why not buy Rage for doubled damage? Or hell, even the Deathbringer, as even a 20% chance of inflicting 250% damage is better than this ****.

Remember, this is not a flat number added to your damage on an enemy god. This number is reduced by defenses before being added. And unlike Polynomicon, this number doesn't have the backing of a bigger number behind it.

Raventhor, don't make me assume that you simply make inane comments without doing any research, or I will be very sad. (I thought of making another Phoenix Wright-themed response, but I realized that it wasn't worth it.)
