I just looked up the patch notes.

I like the fact that FINALLY Bellona has a Gold/Lengendary/Diamond skin. Finally !

I also like the rework on Nox. The Tier List Thread will be changing that day.

I think it's *****y the Ah Muzen Cab change. He's going to be seen WAY more then before, which means he'll be annoying AF

Interesting change on Hou Yi, let's see how that one works out.

As for items :

Bluestone now is UP, while Ancile got really OP. That means my Bastet will be duble stacking A LOT more then I used to.

Heartseeker Change is sad. Still Over Powered

Ichaival still stupidly Viable

Celestial legion helmet I didn't even knew this was in the game.

My thoughts about how this changes the meta:
Death's Toll starts for hunters and auto-attack solo laners ( Bellona, etc)
Mark of the Vanguard for tanky frontline solo laners
Ancile is going to see play, but only sometimes
Neith mid will buy Runic Shield
Ah Muzen Cab comes back into the meta
Hou Yi becomes more liked (can he be CC'd out of the "pause"?)
The build for hunters is going to be the double stack build. It's too good right now. Or Ichaival replaces The Executioner in the current Heartseeker build
Celestial Legion Helm will still see no play
For Glory! An Ullr ADC Guide
A Strong Bond! An Aphrodite Solo Guide

I saw it coming as well. @Sub, A few things to say in return:

1) The balancing crew has a perfectly fine budget (they shouldn't need much to begin with, it's basically just being intelligent) and the crew that redesigns god skins and maps isn't a part of that. From a marketing standpoint especially they need new visual content to keep the game appealing, so calling for them to stop that is just silly.

2) The bees buff is basically just to help AMC become more viable considering he IS one of the few hunters in smite without a strong escape, and this makes his dueling potential even more deadly, especially early game. While I do agree that the fact that ADCs in this game having such good escapes and CC is a bit unbalanced, I know realistically they're not likely going to change that at this point so I'd rather see them balancing what they have to the greatest extent and at least making Disarm a more common status ailment.

3) As for Ah Puch, this does make a difference. It means gods caught in the middle of his ult don't necessarily have to sit there and run away, they can actually kill him without the fear of staying in his ult and dying (obviously you would need Improved Sprint to do so, but it's not an uncommon pickup, especially as a counter to him). Perhaps this isn't quite enough of a nerf, but again, #progress

4) Hou Yi is more responsive as to where you want him to go with this change, that's what they mean by snappy. Previously you had to escape with awkward turn angles over a long period of time... basically it just wasn't a good escape. Hopefully this will balance him to be at least on par with other ADCs (and I know, another ADC with good escapes, but hey as long as they're all balanced together I don't care).

5) I'm not sure how much this realistically adds to Ne Zha, you're probably right about that one :P

6) Tree rat is op, did you see how much they just nerfed him? I think he should be balanced after that but his burst potential is just dumb right now.

7) Bluestone I could still see being an option for more ability based hunters (eg: Neith, Medusa) or ability based warriors for sustain in lane, but I'm glad it's nerfed because hopefully that will calm the current meta a bit. Witchblade may now be overpowered, yes I agree. As for Ichaival and The Executioner, I'll wait and see if they're still too efficient. I don't think the executioner is going anywhere but I think Ichaival may be approaching a more fair price for its benefits.

8) I'll admit the Heartseeker nerf is not enough.

9) I'm not sure if shield of regrowth or Ancile are competitively viable yet (although I do think Ancile is), but I think this is at least a good test to see how much these stat changes alter that.

10) I don't understand how you're relating Runic Shield to ADCs, it's an item basically for physical gods laning against mages early game to give a laning advantage similar to Void Stone, how does this relate to ADCs that would never build this since it would affect their DPS too much anyway (except for niche roles like Neith mid)?

11) I can agree with most of your statements about Celestial Legion Helm. While I don't think it's completely worthless, the rework you mentioned would be a much better change.

I feel like ICEN going on so long about this lol, at least I hope I can be reasoned with.

1) It sounds like they have too much time on their hands, and time is a resource they could spend elsewhere. Lay a person off to add another person to their play test team, for example.

3) IMO, this will only encourage suicidal charges.

4) I don't really care too much on the proportion of ADCs with escapes. What I do care about is the constant design problems and lack of counterplay.

7) Every ADC uses abilities to clear. Bluestone is yet another do or die creation that Hirez loves - if it's too good, everyone egts it. If not, no one does.

10) What I meant was that Runic Shield and Ancile would both be overpowered in a balanced meta because they'll unbalance it. Warriors would beat Mages every time due to how efficient they are. However, because ADCs have bloated too much, Warriors and Mages have a minimal presence, and therefore what would be an overpowered item...isn't.

Also, Witch Blade is bullahit because it's uninteractive. Make it have 10% CDR, make its debuff last 3 seconds, reduce power by 15 and attack speed by 30%, and make it proc on damage dealt, and it's better than an unavoidable aura. Like so many other of these do or die items, Auras would either becomes too powerful or too weak. LoL downright removed their version of Void Stone because of it. Dawngate had this version of Witch Blade. And look at Mystical Mark - there was a point where it was used just as often as Sov, but now it's useless. -_-

And that is why counterplay is integral to a good game, not just on gods.

?) I maintain that ICEN can be reasoned with.

They need to give Ne Zha healing because he is too dam squishy to do anything. His early clearing is so bad that he runs a high risk of simply dying to jungle camps early game if he didn't have his current or new passive.

Really they should just rework his kit. You know you have ****ed up when you need to give him a passive which only purposes is to make him playable in his intended role!

Also all of those skins look amazing. If they put as much effort in to the actual game as they do with skins, Smite would be actually be balanced.

I think The problem is that they are basing their balance based on forum and reddit and it's wrong. They should balance based on esport players/esport expert/smite hater like sub/ other games. Community and pther things like skins are excellent though to be based on forum or reddit

@nex I maintain that Ne Zha is much better in solo and support than in jungle. Also, they've never really gotten his passive right, so the kit is fine, the passive just always ****s up. This is the third passive rework, if you didn't know.

@razemage They based the item changes directly on SPL. They just "nerfed" hunters. Obviously, it was ineffective, but they tried.

I mean, I don't take offense at that. They have to release new characters every so often, and people got really excited about Ratatoskr. And, to give them credit, they tried to fix the most broken thing right now. Sure, they ****ed that up, but they tried.
