I said NO DAMAGE ON BACKFLIP IS DUMB

DUMB = I DONT LIKE IT

What do you care if backflip does damage, all escapes in the game do damage .... well most of them

I think the biggest problem with the traditional response of "don't hit him," his that that gives Hercules a 4 second window to attack with impunity, as well as time for his stun and pool to get off of cooldown.

Jararo, I think that a major factor determining your choice of overpowered gods is your playstyle. This is only an educated guess at best, I guess that you play reactively and cautiously. You are probably the first to purchase Beads or Aegis on your team. This is a legitimate tactic and it seems perfect for a solo lanes.

Forgive me if I am making assumptions, but in my opinion, that is probably the worst strategy against Freya and Hercules (Neith is way too overpowered to be countered by a strategy).

Hercules' main strength is the ability to take massive amounts of damage and not care, and to dish it back. He preys on reactive players, especially when his abilities strike amazingly fast for a large guy. A player hanging near the back of the minion wave is a perfect target, and his resistance to being bursted makes most ganks less than effective. Not to mention that being at a distance makes attacks easier to predict, so he can whip out his heal in a flash. (I do agree that his healing is absurd though).

Freya also is well-adapted against a defensive playstyle, especially since she usually plays defensively as well. Obviously, her slow is a nasty deterent against most players. In my experience, my biggest enemies were the ones with a fast, aggressive playstyle, the ones who suddenly ignore all caution and charge with a good initiator, like Fenrir's leap, or anything that would bring them into melee range.

It's rather ironic that a so-called melee mage's biggest weakness are other melee gods in the same range.

Of course, I could be making erroneous presumptions and may have gotten it all wrong, but that's my two cents.

I think ICEN needs a lesson on denotative and connotative meanings.

Well then let me reveal it!

Denotative: What the word literally means, as defined in a dictionary. "Ohhh Riiiight" would literally mean "that is correct", or "jealous" would mean "protective of that which you own" (which it does, by the way)

Connotative: What is either implied by the words, or what society has slurred the word to meaning, whereas "Ohh Riiiight" would be seen as sarcastic and opposite, and "Jealous" would be synonymous to "Envious", as we believe (which it doesn't, actually).

Denotative: Definition
Connotative: Understood to mean

Well now that depends, Pandr. Technically if you were to take a WPM test, you're not allowed to misspell anything, or produce a grammatically incorrect sentence. I mean we're all at fault for that, but I could type the alphabet and that could count as 26 'words', but if you're looking for actual words in sentences, it's different

But some people are learning! I hope. Some people on smitefire definitely need to learn some things.

Still, 100x better community than most other games.
