Fenrir has good base damage, though his abilities don't scale to well. Even still, there are a few power items that might work, under the right circumstances of course.
|
This is a core item for Fenrir. It's cheap, it also brings in good power and mandatory movement speed. There's no reason to get any of the other boots. |
A very strong item that gives fentastic power, when Fenrir is above 50% HP. If Fenrir falls below 50% HP, it will offer more protections instead. Shifter's Shield will spike your early to mid game damage. This is insanely helpful if you are trying to snowball the early game. This is something you should definitely consider picking up. |
Physical defense is a barrier that can be overcome by buying penetration items. Fenrir's natural base damage shines when you buy more penetration. Buying items in this section is usually always the safest bet, when learning the game.
|
This is a staple item, that every player would say Fenrir should buy. I'm not going to discredit that, since it does do wonders in the early stages of the game. It gives him power and cool down reduction, with an added bonus of penetration and mana. |
The Executioner is the go to item for Fenrir. If you want to make use of his life steal and auto attacks. The penetration it offers is substantial. The downside to getting this over Titan's Bane, is that you have to do 3 auto attacks before the penetration kicks in. The Executioner can apply stacks on everything but objectives... |
Titan's Bane is a great item for Fenrir. It helps keep Fenrir's ability base damage from falling off as quickly. It's also better then The Executioner, when it's used to attack towers. Titan's Bane offers 33% penetration to everything. |
Brawler's Beat Stick is more a situational item. If the enemy comp has more then one ADC, or even a sustain god like Hercules. Then you might be wanting to pick this item up. When you combine the passive of this item with Fenrir's Seething Howl. No other god will be able to out last a long confrontation with you, without back up. After all Brawler's Beat Stick offers anti heal. |
Only physical melee gods can buy Stone Cutting Sword and for good reason. Stone Cutting Sword was STRONG in the days when ADC's could buy it. Offering good physical power, movement speed to run or chase and to top it off. Stone Cutting Sword offers a BROKEN passive. Making it a amazing choice for any auto attack build. |
With Heartseeker's new passive, this item became very strong. Giving 10% movement speed, some extra power, penetration, and a passive that synergies insanely well with Unbound Runes. If you're building for ability damage, this item is almost a must. |
If you want to last longer then 2 seconds on the battle field, without retreating or dying. Then I strongly recommend buying some defense items. Fenrir has to get close and personal to do damage, so naturally he is a huge target to the enemy team.
|
Most mages hit HARD in the later stages of the game. If the mage is primarily focusing you down first in team fights, you may want to get this. Bulwark of Hope offers good magical protection, crowd control reduction and 200 HP, 550 when combined with this item's passive. |
Mantle of Discord is another item that is somewhat situational. It's also expensive, so it's a luxury item. This item can be especially strong against a god that can latch onto you, like Kali or Bakasura. It's a good item if you need late game defense but it's too late to stack Hide of the Urchin. |
Spirit Robe is great if you combo with Jotunn's Wrath. It doesn't offer HP, though it does offer noteable magical and physical defense. The passive also helps if you get CC chained in late game team fights. |
Winged Blade is situational, but it can be a game changer. For example, if Poseidon were to buy, say Gem of Isolation for his Whirlpool. You'd be short outta luck. Though if you buy this item, you'd only receive a speed boost, allowing you to catch up to Poseidon and finish him. Basically if the enemy team has a lot of slows in their kits. Buy this item, as soon as team fights start to break out. |
Hide of the Urchin is a broken item for it's cost value. It's smart to build this as early as possible to get the stacks maxed as soon as possible. Keep in mind, if you get this early in. Fenrir's early game will take a massive hit. |
Bloodforge offers a ton of power and 15% Life Steal. It doesn't offer as much life steal as Devourer's Gauntlet. On the plus side it, rewards you with a shield passive if you kill a god. It's okay replacement for Devourer's Gauntlet. |
Asi doesn't offer any power. Though some gods pick this item up for the attack speed, penetration and it's amazing life steal passive. When you build Fenrir for auto attacks, you might want to look into getting this. Keep in mind you might want the other two life steal items if you need a bit more power. |
Devourer's Gauntlet or Dev Gloves before they ruined the name, is extremely underrated on Fenrir. Though it takes a while to stack which halts your early game. The 25% life steal once it's fully stacked, on top of the 30%/45% lifesteal from Seething Howl. Makes Fenrir the king of boxing, there's no god in the game that can outbox you |
Rage was once my favorite item in the game. If built early, due to stacking reasons, Rage will offer you 35% crit once fully stacked. When combined with Fenrir's broken life steal. You can potentially almost double the amount health Seething Howl gives back to you. |
Deathbringer can be a great item for many assassins. Though I feel that Fenrir should be focusing on more defensive items. Rarely can I fit this in a match, usually I have no room for purchasing this. I feel you can fully avoid buying this and still go rambo on the enemy team. The extra critical damage is a plus. |
Wind Demon | This item gives the standard 20% Crit chance, some extra attack speed, and a fairly strong passive granting additional attack speed on critical hits. This item is perfect for a crit auto attack build. |
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

Also, can you rate my Arena auto based build? Warrior Tabi-> Jotunn's Wrath-> Mantle of Discord-> Stone Cutting Sword (at this stage for the movement speed)-> Rage (at this stage for the stacks)-> The Executioner->replace Jotunn's Wrath with wind demon
I used to build lifesteal as well, but there's just way too much going on in Arena. I found defense to benefit me much more than extra lifesteal.
Arena ends to quickly to warrant buying to many expensive items.
To be fair, I ONLY played arena for about 500 games. Before EVEN touching Conquest, so I'm not bashing. I'm just speaking from personal experience.
So I saw that you updated your guide so I decided to check it out. First things first, wow it looks stunning. The pictures and the skills section are very pleasing to the eyes. I like the color scheme of it as well. The design alone warrants an upvote from me.
I am not the biggest Conquest player so I am not sure on the impact of it, but with the recent increase in price of Shifter's Shield, would it be better to flip Hide of the Urchin and Shifter's Shield around or put in a damage item instead like maybe Heartseeker? With Hide you would lose some early power, but be able to gain more protections earlier on with the stacks and cheaper price so it would be online earlier, but you mention that this would really hurt his early game so I would lean towards a damage item. Granted it is only 150 gold more, so could go lean on some potions to make up for the price increase. Just curious on thoughts.
Other than that, I have nothing else for you besides AA build is to risky with him. I feel it would take a seasoned Fenrir player to use so you can utilize his lifesteal properly, but what if you got 1 defensive item for the Auto attack build? It would give some defense along with your lifesteal to be able to box. I just wouldn't know what you would take out since want 2 crit items, Executioner is your penetration. Dev is your lifesteal so I guess Qin's?
I'm very glad to hear you like the pictures, it took me a little while to make them. Though I hoped it wound entice people more. Thank you for the feed back, ill look to it later, have a great rest of your day.
@newb, I think the shifters 150 price increase isn't enough to... Shift it from being a good item in that space. In a conquest game, you're maybe talking 1 minute of playtime just in gold/min. If you get a camp or two, significantly less. The fact is it still gives a huge power increase, and significant balanced protections, and the increase just maybe brings it into better balance for the stats it brings... Maybe.
@Bran.. I saw what you did there.. 150 isnt enough to SHIFT it...smh
@Zodiak-Yeah, 1 defensive item in an AA build wouldn't help to much against a carry especially late game, but with an AA build with some lifesteal and 1 defensive item, I think you would be able to box a little bit while using Unchained Brutalize to either finish them off or escape. Unless you get swarmed then you are screwed.
Bumba's Mask(Sell after 4 item ), Warrior Tabi, Jotunn's Wrath, Void Shield, Executioner, Rage, Blood Forge.
I'm kinda new to Fenrir Mastery II and just wanted to make sure i was on the right track.
Zodiac hasn't been on for a few months now, so hope you don't mind me commenting, even though I'm not a Fen expert.
I do know that most people focus on maxing CDR, power, and pen, with perhaps 1 or 2 protection items depending on the situation.
Your build starts normally, but ends with items that aren't quite optimal...two or 3 of those items are really basic-attack items, and his effectiveness comes from abilities.
So...this generally means you'd get rid of The Executioner and Rage, and possibly Bloodforge, though that item CAN have some effectiveness due to the shield and the high power.
Core after the Bumba's start is Warrior Tabi, Jotunn's Wrath, and Titan's Bane, but you might delay Titan's until a bit later. If you're facing more physical threats, Void Shield or Breastplate of Valor might be purchased after Jotunn's Wrath...Void will give you more damage, but BoV is nice for the mana pool and, more importantly, maxing CDR.
If you don't get Breastplate of Valor, it opens you up to get Mantle of Discord for the balanced protections and the 15% CDR, and the passive can help when you jump into a fight.
Unfortunately, not sure exactly where the builds are going to go once S4 goes live (end of January for PC, another week or two after for consoles).
This is a pretty amazing guide, Only problem is the misspell of you're in a lot of sentences that should be your.
Lol yeah I'm not the best speller. I'll admit that.
