hebo's water spout is far from hard to hit. it may have a very small delay but its to small to give the other person a chance at activating anything to couter it unless the hebo made it to obvious and you predicted it.

the hit box is still quiet big, there is no build up to see where the ability is placed and the delay is small. its really easy to land and takes maybe 3 games of practising it to get it down though you will likely still be making it a little obvious.

ao's squall is the same in that way. it may have a small delay but the the speed at which the projectile travels is too fast to give you any chance to counter it if the ao knows how to not make it incredibly obvious.

you know vampi didn't mean the item systeam is the only thing that makes it the games more difficult hence why he put it in these (), so you basicly bogarded his post and only to comment about a little sidenote he made.

Thank you! Someone who gets it! Waterspout is NOT hard to hit!

While I do think the way you're treating fellow Smitefire members is certainly not verteran-like (And I almost considered filing a complaint), you have a point. SOMEONE is going to get hit.

And maybe that's true. But why make it your entire team? Try to at least reduce the effects.

Running isn't always an option? Yea, if you are in the middle of his ult as he's casting it! That's why you run as he's running toward you, when it IS still an option.

If the enemy team is behind you and "running isn't an option", then you're dead regardless of whether he uses his ult.

You don't seem to understand the meaning of "running not being an option." Sometimes you need to defend a map objective, like a phoenix or FG. Sometimes, you're in your tower and being attacked, and you certainly don't want to leave the tower. Sometimes, the enemy initiates onto you, and you'll die if you turn around to run. Sometimes, you're in the middle of a teamfight, burnt all of your abilities, and can't leap out of the fray. Sometimes, you're a god without an escape. Get it yet?

And for your last statement, sometimes. Not all the time. In both cases, there's a severe lack of counterplay.

I hope your aware veterans aren't really supposed to act like anything. Editors, Veterans, and Moderators are just really normal users who have contributed to the site and have been awarded with the title and have the abilty to help the site even more. Of course, if you see a user trying to start a "war" or is acting negetive towards other users then be my guest you may report them. Right now it's just an arguement.

Uhhh techncially you're wrong there. I'm not saying anything about how anyone acted, but a veteran is very specifically supposed to represent smitefire. That's why they're glorified editors with no actual extra benefits - they are now the face of smitefire. So yes, us veterans are supposed to act like something.

I don't know if this is against the rules as a veteran, but here's a tidbit from our 'Welcome to Veteran's Hall' thread

Welcome to the Veteran's Hall! You have been chosen to be a Veteran due to your dedication to the community and helpful attitude. Glad to have you on board!

What Does it Mean to be a Veteran?

Being a Veteran gives you a lot of opportunity to help set the direction of this site and its community. As a Veteran, you are a strong representative.

You represent the community to us by highlighting their concerns, promoting the discussion and resolution of community issues, previewing and giving feedback on future changes, sharing your thoughts and ideas.

You also represent us to the community. They look up to you as leaders and follow your example. Through your high level of commitment and contribution you have captured their attention and there is a lot of responsibility that comes with that. The fact that you made it this far means that MOBAFire is something you really enjoy being a part of, and it is within your power to show the rest of the community how to keep it that way.

I understand what you're saying.

However, if your burn your escape to deal damage (Ex. Neith using Backflip), then that's kinda that persons fault for using it just for a little bit of damage. If that god doesn't have an escape ( Anubis), then I say it's that persons fault for getting in that situation and not being aware of behind them.

Yes, you don't want to leave your tower, but that doesn't mean running isn't an option.

If you run away, yes they might get your tower, but if you stay, you might die... and then they get your tower.

There's no 'bible' to playing Smite. There's no trick build or awesome strategy or mega counter to every god in every comp. Every situation is different. However, you can learn general tricks, such as...
Not burning your escape on damage
Looking behind you
Being cautious when that Anubis or Poseidon suddenly runs at you.

On a side note, it's not impossible to completely balance a game. It is impossible to make your players think it's completely balanced, however. Because when some new person stands right in the middle of a Vulcan ult without doing anything, they're gonna cry VULCAN OP when they die.
Thanks to Ferrum for making the sig pic! He's beast af people.

REEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!

Veterans are simply glorified Editors *please don't hurt me*

But seriously, hear me out here. I'd like to make clear that being a veteran is actually a pretty big deal. I mean, it's you being recognised for your dedication to the site. That's great! Seriously, it is. I mean, you have been elected as one of the people that represents SmiteFire. But the thing is that... Well... So does everyone else. SmiteFire is not represented by the Editors, Veterans, Mods and Admins alone. SmiteFire is a community, and therefore it is represented by the image that everyone creates as a whole. Editors were chosen for the same reason as you, it's just that you guys were here first. It really is that simple. You guys weren't chosen as a Veteran over other editors because you guys were better, but because you guys have been here longer. That is the reality of things. I hate to call people out, but look at LevasK. He hardy makes any contribution to the site nowadays, and he never really did make much back then either. He was simply chosen because he was here the longest.

Pandr is not wrong in saying that Vets, Editors and Mods are just like every other user because, well, they are. They, alongside everyone else, high status to no status, represents this community we have here. So saying that you guys are more special than the others and say that you guys have the right to say you have and will amount to something more than the other people of this community is wrong. People with a ranking aren't people who solely have contributed to the foundation of this site, they're simply the ones that have been recognised for it. Really, you serve the same main purpose as everyone else, so saying you have more rights over them is irrational.

Everyone is called to be their best for the site. We all represent it. Vets simply are specifically called to represent the site, not be the ones who have benefits over everyone else over it.

Sorry for the derailing, the topic simply came up.
