I'll be honest, I don't mind it being lock on. There are very few abilities that do lock on (Neith, Athena...not many others that are decent range), and few abilities that are true globals. It may be annoying but mechanically it's not bad, HiRez just needs to make sure they keep an eye on numbers with a "guaranteed" (barring immunities) attack.

Having a couple lock-ons in smite isn't bad, since there are SO few, but they need to make sure they continually tone the scalings and base numbers.

Lol i got accepted into giganctic like a couple hours after I signed up...

But i see no problem with nu wa's ult. I actually kind of like it, because it gives her a global presence at level 5, something very few gods have (Neith, Athena[xbalanque doesn't count, just a blind/easily avoidable stun]). I honestly like her new kit a lot, not as much as the old one, but makes her what a mage should actually be, a more utility based character rather than a crazy burst machine. I also like the new kit because NU WA JUNGLE BABEH!

I havent got the invite, i jsut checked it..

There's no effective difference between this ability and any of He Bo's. My problem is with how it inflates player damage artificially and the amount of snowball damage it can do.

This is a serious topic. There's no need to make jokes like this.

As for the ult, I'm not a fan of it at all. I pretty much agree with you in that it's way too easy of an ult. At least with other global ults, like Xbalanque's, Neith's, Athena's, etc, they either require you to lock on the target manually, or are non-lethal and easy as hell to avoid if you're the enemy. Nu Wa's, it's just like "Well ****, incoming free damage on me". And again, at full CDR, with a 66 second cooldown, that's a lot of global smacks to everyone on the map if you so choose to use it that way, or you can make it pretty damn hard for enemies to go back to base when they have low health.

The damage on it isn't bad, but the fact that it takes no aiming or really even planning to use is, in my opinion, a very lazy ult that HiRez decided to take from another game and slap it in here.

And honestly, it's not even the worst part of her kit.
