Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

Here is the match
As such, although the build in theory seems perfectly fine, I don't know that it's representative of being an optimal build.
Now any good hunters for duel that are beginner friendly?
What are the builds? Basically, give me builds for these scenarios
1) you're ahead vs physical
2) you're ahead vs magical
3) you're behind vs physical
4) you're behind vs magical
The build can vary depending upon the matchup, but you generally want to end up with a basic attack focused build: start out with either Attacker's Blessing or Hunter's Blessing (or even Mage's Blessing, but ab seems to be the call) and morning star, plus 2x Healing Potions and mana potions (don't get multi-potions unless you're playing Thanatos.
You generally don't want to back until you can at least afford Combat Boots, if not Ninja Tabi. Once tabi is built, rush Transcendence so you can get it stacked ASAP.
Depending upon how you're doing, you can either get The Crusher or a defense item like Breastplate of Valor or Genji's Guard depending upon your opposition. I wouldn't bother with Pestilence or Contagion because a close range hunter is a dead hunter. If you're facing another hunter or someone building attack speed, consider Hide of the Nemean Lion instead of bov.
After you get those items online, it's time to look at The Executioner, Qin's Sais, Toxic Blade, and Brawler's Beat Stick. You want exe as soon as your opponent starts building physical defense so you can actually do some damage; qin's for if you're facing a tank with inherent health or an opponent who's building a lot of health items (e.g. shield of regrowth, Ethereal Staff, etc.) For anti-heal, go with which option fits your god's kit better (toxic for aa ( Rama) and bbs for ability ( Skadi and Neith). You can also delay these for Asi if you feel you need some early lifesteal - I'd get it after trans if I really needed it.
Other items to look at are Frostbound Hammer, Blackthorn Hammer, Heartseeker, Runeforged Hammer (though this might not be a good choice for a hunter), and Ichaival. Rexi swears by Silverbranch Bow on Apollo, but you do you.
If your opponent is going double or triple-d (heh), consider a late Titan's Bane (don't replace exe) for that extra pen. Sure it and exe kinda conflict, but you'll notice the difference.
Relic wise you're looking at Purification Beads for stuns, Aegis Amulet for burst damage like Than and Poseidon, Magic Shell for AA attackers, bracer of undoing for a bit of a safety net, and the aforementioned thorns (get this second and only if you're playing against tick damage or your opponent doesn't know when to back off). The other relics are either very situational or just plain useless (I'm looking at you, meditation cloak).
I hope this helps. I recommend watching some duelers like Rexsi and Hatmaster for gameplay and item tips. Rexsi can be a bit much sometimes, but he does know what he's talking about and he's around your age, ya young-un. :P
You seem knowledgeable enough. Wanna practice?
If you want to upload a video or two of your matches, I'll watch them and give you my critique because it's easier to do so while not concentrating on winning. :P That and I've been having mic issues I can't get cleared up for some reason.
That's a common tactic in duel.
Occasional Tower camping should be ok (i.e I'm low health and about to back but let me get a minion wave before I back, etc). But constant tower camping is boring and won't help me nor you improve our mechanical skill.
Also it won't be bragging or complaining at the end. More along the lines of what could we have done better?
If you don't mind I'm gonna throw in another rule: AA based adc only.

Have you seen this?
Im guilty of playing Chronos back when I played duel but not even I played him like that. I did see someone play like that once again Rexsi though.
Also Cern wasn't dealing damage on me so no need of void, I preferred Shofters for the extra power on the engages and then some protections (specially) magical, since raijin was focusing me
Now, I want you to understand is that Ratatoskr is an ability based assassin. You want items like Jotunn's Wrath, The Crusher, Brawler's Beat Stick Heartseeker Void Shield Titan's Bane and Hydra's Lament.
I'll give a more thorough review when I get home.
As for items, Bloodforge isn't a good early item for him. In fact, most lifesteal isn't really that preferential, because he's an ability-user, not a basic attacker, and basic attacks are what give you that lifesteal function.
Instead, you should drop the BF, and prioritize your power+pen items... The Crusher can be a good item after completing your Acorn, or if you want the CDR, build into Jotunn's Wrath. Those two items are next after your BF listing, so at least that portion is good.
If you face a 2 phys/1 mag comp, you might consider a bit of prots... Void Shield is a popular choice there, and it synergizes well with his Flurry's protection reduction function. If you find magical protections are needed, Ancile is probably the most popular choice. These can be listed as optional/situational items.
Crit isn't a good choice for him. His basics having a 1/0.5/0.5/1.25x damage and swing time = don't go crit. That, no offense, is an awful choice.
Instead, you should finish with other pen type items, or get protections as needed. On the offensive side, Brawler's Beat Stick is great for anti-heal, and against tanks, you can get Titan's Bane though there's a bit of inefficiency with regard to his protection reduction function (though minor). Heartseeker is a good alternative to Titan's for higher burst damage potential. And, if you want, you can also consider Hydra's Lament if you're good at getting basics in between ability use.
Right now, the build is, no offense, far from optimal. The above adjustments should give you significantly better results.

Soul Eater or Bloodforge in some of those.
(Not saying that lifesteal that early is typically good though, especially the expensive Bloodforge).
Also, lifesteal a bit less important in Joust since you back more often than Conq, and those builds are all Conq builds.

What about when contesting Bull Demon King?
If they're attacking it and you're trying to steal, then I don't know exactly how BF/SE come into play in particular here, but best option here would be to ult in, drop in once the thing is almost dead and try to finish with a final ability (Blast) while they're still knocked up.
